If I recall correctly, you can muster your army before declaring war. This has previously allowed me to Blitzkrieg outerlying settlements and then peace out before their main army has a real chance to form a proper counterattack. Also, be careful with the pathfinding. Taking armies out that are trying to join up is a favoured tactic.

ocadioan those aren't just game strategies that's how actually is.like thrones of Britannia minor settlement battles are very accurate,intercepting an army outside the settlement with no defenses

Man I am so pissed off with this game right now because I lose against fewer armies ,because they have outposts , isn't there something I can do to win battles while I am on attacking side ?

Build more armies? I only played a previous version once a few years ago, but I recall that simply pouncing on your weak neighbours, building up your territories and general strategic gameplay tended to win most wars before they were even fought. Also, I don't know if you can do so in this version, but in my old version, I could build new castles on the border, which effectively allowed me to have FOBs on every front and to start getting more troops further from my core.

KOEI's solution to lack of AI is handicap the players so you are at the same level as the AIs. Battles used to be fun in the early series of the title and then they start downgrading what you can do/size of the combat/number of troops etc. Now days playing Nobunaga ambition feels like playing an administrator rather than a war lord.

japanese is pretty easy when you know how to read the names.. dont read the entire word in one go.. example. tokyo is to-ky-o, Takahisa Shimazu is ta-ka-hi-sa shi-ma-zu, nobunaga is no-bu-na-ga.. thats in basic terms how u pronounce them.. then you just read it fast enough that they turn into one word :)

Don't listen to any of these naysayers. The game WILL come out and will be amazing, there are always impatient people who just want the game NOW, and when it comes out as a half-baked mess, then they complain. I get it, Bannerlord has had a long development time, but that's because Taleworlds are making what's basically going to be the greatest game of its genre, you can tell from the dev blogs and gameplay. Stick it out, you won't regret it

Almost similar to romance of the three kingdoms. One of their series however its up to you if want to be a warlord in china or daimyo in japan. But i like the depth in this game though its not that far

it's a wonder how game devellopers, can manage to make a game...shittier and less pretty than the previous ones... they went from a good strategy game with good gestion...to an almost gestion/tabletop only game in the likes of heart of iron.... kind of like how stellaris is slowly turning into HOI

The Switch version is Japan only. And probably the reason why the graphics are a downgrade compared to Sphere Of Influence, which was only on PS4 and PC.

Is it me or are most there portraits the same from the last game? Koei cant even invest in new pictures...

There are 2000 hand-drawn portraits in the game. It's not feasible, or in my opinion, necessary to redo these when they are in sufficiently high-resolution. If you've played previous games, you'll see that you can go to the officer gallery and look at individual portraits from previous games. The major characters do get new and multiple portraits, but putting all your art budget into redrawing 1500 obscure officers, who have excellent portraits anyway, is such a monumental waste of time I don't even know what to tell you.

I was told this game was a downgrade from Soi... and it really does seem so. Aesthetic looks poor, and UI looks like its a little trashy and unnecessarily hard to navigate at a glance comparatively. Only the battle maps themselves seem mildly improved.

Looks a lot weaker than the last two games. You have less control over everything and it's simplified noticably. For example, the way you develop commerce and farmland - in SoI Ascension you had to build actual structures, find suitable places for them and stuff like that. And for players who'd find that too micro there was an option to let an officer handle it, so accessability is not an argument for this change. Battles, too. Previously the battles did not stop time and units could enter ongoing battles. That first battle you lost? Reinforcements would have come in and saved the time. This new system favors the underdog and I feel it makes conquering weaker clans just more tiresome.

The problem with the previous games is that the buildings you built didn't really have any visible feedback on your resources after you develop them. So while it was cool to build buildings, unless you built in a particularly hard direction you wouldn't really see the result of the effort right away. In Taishi, it looks like we've been given way more, immediate control over harvest, income and levy sizes which is far better than trying to turn all your buildings around over the course of 10 years or so. It's a good change, it's just a bit more meta in the way it handles it - and it means I can switch between war and development mindsets much, much quicker.

I have no respect for this company. Release the same stuff with different visuals or slight changes. Then charges you $60 for it. Total war warhammer 1/2 is on sale right now for that price. If you're interested, look into one of the other nobunaga ambitions. It offers more visual and gameplay overall experience.
