ROTT (Rise of the Triad, DOS, 1994) MIDI soundtrack, music, OST on pro Roland JV-1010, alternative to the SC-55 and SC-88 Pro. Music by Lee Jackson & Bobby Prince. Excellent MIDI synthesizer reproduction! 👍 I wish I had a CD playing these on tracks for my CD player car stereo. Yes! I have one of those still in my truck playing full artists music non-Midi. One complaint I have about almost every video like this is nobody ever loops the tracks twice or thrice. It's always a one-shot through the MIDI and then onto the next, but you definitely miss out on how the MIDI loops. In other news, MANNNN KZbin really messed up the chapters for seemingly no reason. More at 11.

Back in the '90s I had an AWE-32 soundcard which sounded really good, and I loved Lee Jackson and Bobby Prince's music so much that I recorded the soundtracks from Rise of the Triad and Duke Nukem 3D to CD. I also made a copy of Shadow Warrior's soundtrack with the CD audio and the MIDI tracks. I never got around to recording Doom, but I did buy the official Doom Music CD.

Any chance you could make flak files of this soundtrack? Like actually record the tacks into flak for the purest form of the audio. I can't find a good rip of this soundtrack and this one has the best sound due to the jv-1010. If you could do that, it would be amazing.
@panoramacircle32814 жыл бұрын
Hello, there should be no difference between flac, ogg (what I am saving in Audacity) or mp3 because the source is a 90s rompler with 4MB of compressed samples. Uploading these songs somewhere else is a problem because of copyright, KZbin if allowing that in cooperation with game studios. You have to download the video using any internet download site and extract the audio (with VLC for example) and split it into the songs using Audacity.
@terrapinflyer2734 жыл бұрын
Have you tried the ost files from the sc-55 sc-88 page? I don't know the website offhand, but you can find it by searching 'sc-55 music pack' or through the Duke Nukem HRP page. The sc-55 ost is the only one that sounds "correct" to me. Though this one does sound pretty filled out in terms of sound quality. Very nice samples. Deep bass, crisp treble.

I heard about JV Roland line from the 90's where the synths were used 4 many reasons in whole musical industry, but not in module befor'!! It is easy as it seems, just plug n play any midi from MIDI out (external source)?? I was thinking about 2 buy from any user selling out this sound generator 2 run many midi files!! Sorry asking, but from the game, such as ROTT the used patches from musician Lee will run exactly as we hear from this demonstration???
@panoramacircle32812 жыл бұрын
I had to modify the MIDI files a bit because the loudness for the individual instrument was not well adjusted for the Roland GM. Some instruments were too loud, others too silent. The patches are just GM patches with no editing. You would have to get the adjusted MIDI files back into the game to get exactly the same sound.
