@@aster1438 I remember there’s a nasty ice dragon that will keep stacking debuffs on you. Each hit will do more and more damage until BAM that’s a wipe. The main way to mitigate that is to burn Nael down as fast as possible.

As SMN, always use phoenix during the dps check phase. Firebird trance deals more damage than Bahamut most of the time. Just hope your Revelation crits. Bahamut for the golems

I had a guy who offered to run me through the entire Coils unsynced so I could get the story content. The ONLY thing that he couldn't simply solo at level 90 out of all the turns...was Nael. He got two other buddies JUST to come help him with this fight while he told me (level 60 WHM main at the time) point blank "you are going to die." I'd like to think that my character was holding out a thumbs up while dead under one of those meteors while those absolute chads defeated a boss just so I could enjoy the story.

@@benh3518 Nael is completely solo-able at level 90, I've done it multiple times as WAR, no invuln or mitigation needed. You can even solo the Savage version, though you'll probably need i600 gear (or somewhere around there) to do it before the ice debuffs kill you. The only things you need to watch out for are killing the golems quickly before they merge, and having enough damage to kill Nael before the 2nd ice debuff hits.

I really appreciate how the lyrics are well pronounced and just intelligently flow with the music instead of being random Latin because "it's cool edgy and ominous". I really frown when I hear Japanese media mispronouncing Latin... Yes Kingdom Hearts 3, I'm talking about your "skara atto kaeromu".

The vocalists are probably classically trained and have spent a lot of time practising pronunciation. Unfortunately the grammar is a bit shaky. Also using exhilarámus, when the presumably meant exaltémus is pretty funny.

Christopher Tin talked about how hard it is to make a whole choir to pronounce Latin words the way actual Romans do (vulgar Latin) on his Daedalus and Icarus song because of the way the choirs have been taught to say the words, resorting him to just ask the main singer to do it. I can't imagine doing that with Japanese choir that has trouble shedding their Japanese pronunciations.

I tried using my limited knowledge of Latin tweak the lyrics a little to make it match the English better. 0:52 Praesentem -> Praesentiam (Maybe a dialectal thing?) 1:00 Evertuntur -> Evertendus sunt (Eventuntur = are being turned over, Evertendus sunt = are about to be turned over) 1:08 "Ad unum, omnes dei sunt mortui" (The original isn't wrong, but it reads like "Every last one of them are dead gods", which may or may not be intentional) 1:38 Exhilaramus -> Exaltemus (Exhilaramus = "Exhilarate we") 1:48 Rubrae -> Rubra (Luce rubrae victoriae = with light of red victory, Luce rubra victoriae = with red light of victory) 2:03 Testare adventum fatus, testare adventum Dalamud! (I don't know if testare can be used to mean "behold", which is how "bear witness to" is used here)

Hey just played through the damn fourth turn second coil, had to deal with this insane boss and one thing I noticed in the cinematic is that they refer to the nael that was before this one was a guy and this girl taking naels place was indeed the same person. Cannonically nael is transition goals personified, she gets to have fucking wings.
