It is criminal that there aren't that many remixes for this amazing track, even in the official remix album. So I took it upon myself to make a remix that sounded like it came from the late 80s early 90s.

Wow! Very interesting what you did with that! I remixed this song twice already, the first time was orchestral, the second was a full techno medley. I like your approach!

I actually gave your remixes a listen before making this one! While there have been great remixes of this track (your two remixes especially), none of them really captured the retro-futurism vibe or intensity of the original track the way I would like them to. Honestly, the original tetralogy's soundtracks were composed specifically with FM synthesis in mind so, in order to retain some of that retro-futurism intensity, you have to retain some FM instruments as well. That said, you can still add in things like guitars and contemporary synths of the early 90s that the Genesis simply couldn't handle and keep that same feeling. Synthwave honestly would work well for these games I feel, but so long as you kept some of that Genesis twang. In a nutshell though, I used FM instruments with a (less than perfect) guitar SoundFont for this remix.

@@Meepmeep189 You did a fine job. My first Rise or Fall remix was my very first remix back in... 2005 I think? I was still pretty new to this. Since then, my adaption in Deadly Mota came and it's a lot closer than what I imagine this song could be. At any rate, happy to learn you enjoyed my pieces and I will most certainly keep enjoying yours!
