Cliff Curtis, for me, did the best interpretation of Jesus. He was the only actor who managed to capture the paternal, friendly, and compassionate personality of Jesus. He's so realistic that I feel like I'm in the original story with the eleven (and in this case Clavius) and I feel commissioned to preach the Gospel by Jesus himself. I love this movie.

I am ex athiest. I used to mock christians and say it was all just a fairy tale to help people die in peace. Until i overdosed and stood before Jesus. His face is as bright as the sun. I couldnt see any details of his face but i could see his arms were held out like to hug me and they were a dark tan color, not white or black. Which makes sence remembering he was born in the middle east desert!! When he held out his arms the light got brighter and i felt so much love and peace and raw power that i cant even find the right words to describe them. Jesus is God in the flesh. God is a trinity. All power the father has Jesus also has. He has existed with the father since before the earths creation.

Jesus Christ healed me! This is my story about my healing! I was extremely ill !! I had diabetes and kidney failure, which urgently requires dialysis! I prayed to God to heal me, not for me, because I don't deserve it, but for my little children, who were left without a mother! in exactly that day, in which I prayed, the Lord healed me! I suddenly felt the pain in my kidneys go away, as well as the dryness in my mouth (diabetes). I'm a new women now! I thank the Lord for His mercy and love for us!

I cry every time I watch this. I keep watching it because it fills my heart with so much warmth and joy. But it's also sad. I couldn't have imagined being with Jesus for 3 years. Then watching him be crucified, and then see him come back and only see him some of the time before he ascends to heaven. I would feel so lost in that moment. I know he's with us, but they had him physically. They physically could give him a hug every day for 3 years. That would break my heart if I had seen him leave. My prayers came true though. I wanted Jesus to visit me in a dream and share any wisdom that he'd be willing to share with me. After a few months of praying, he finally came to me. I'll never forget his unconditional love and his amazing embrace. I felt so safe in his arms. His eyes, his eyes, that look deep into the very depths of my soul. The sound, unwavering, calmness he delivers. He's everything we always have hoped for but 1000x more. He's my everything. I love Jesus so much! When you're in his presence everything washes away. Something that was super awesome too. Is that I could feel what he was feeling. His vengeance for the wicked, but the complete wholesome unconditional love that cannot be described on an earthly level. That's because it's not earthly its heavenly. I'm tearing up even now just thinking about it. I can relate to this on the smallest scale. As I really wanted to stay with Jesus forever. I never wanted his embrace to end. So yeah, this is a beautiful moment in the movie but also sad too. He is with us though. And the best part, he told me he's coming back soon to make things right. So don't give up hope. He's coming very soon. I love you Jesus!!!!!!!

Almost 10 years ago.. I fell to my knees and my spirit and my mind was taken to a place beyond this world. I was brought to a place of fire but the fire did not burn me. It gave me warmth and out of the fire came a figure that shielded me from it's power, he held his arms out like a cross.. I've got tears in my eyes as I write this, he spoke to me and I knew his voice, I knew who he was, it was Jesus Christ, my creator, my God. HalleluYAH. The fire radiated from behind him, the son Jesus shielding me from the judgment of fire that will come to this world one day. In that moment I felt more alive, more loved and more protected than ever before in my life, I will never forget the prophecy he gave me. After this I gave my life to Jesus Christ, I gave him my loyalty and my eternal allegiance. Discovered this movie just now by accident. A lot of discussion here regarding if Christ.." taking off like a rocket or peacefully ascending in clouds " is accurate...no one really knows, but for a movie, it's a powerful scene IMO. If the Creator, God, exists and made all, then that force is more powerful than the Sun, stars , all natural things we know, so maybe Jesus ascending into a metaphysical light energy is accurate-food for thought and speculation.

Ofc this is a dramatisation. Some other movies portray his ascension in a more delicate and calm manner. Nonetheless, for those at the time that experienced the reall thing, it was probably an unimaginable event. Some might say this isnt even biblialy accurate the way they showed it. But Its clear they were going for an epic, dramatic ascension, which worked out amazingly and portrayed the glorious power of christ. Ofc, there is no power on heaven or on earth, in all the universe, that can rival the creator. I mean he is so powerful that he literally spoke all things into creation, with words, this is why we say words are powerful. Words can create or destroy.

Yeshua was lifted up while He was still speaking and the disciples were still looking up at Him while He was taken up and a cloud gently covered Him. When the disciples were still starring at the sky, two angels appeared and spoke to them saying that this Yeshua will return back the same way He was taken up. I don't know why the movie directors always like to twist the Bible verses simply to make it look more interesting.

Put your faith in Jesus Christ, believe in him and that he died for your sins and that he rose again from the grave, conquering death. Believe in these things with all of your heart, soul, mind and you shall be saved. Jesus will forgive those who come to him and genuinely ask for his mercy and grace. Once you are saved, you are always saved. Your life will change and you will begin to obey Jesus Christ by keeping his law. Remember, faith without works is dead. As a Muslim, they could’ve done better by actually hiring an actor who’s Levantine ethnically. This actor is good, but he is half Māori or something I think; and we know as described in the Abrahamic books he was not at all. Is not about him being fair-skin complexion man or whatever, because Levantine people do have that look too, but is just about using the ethnic phenotype that Jesus was.
