Actually venturing out into the vast unknown not knowing the hardships that may come but staying coarse anyway. Seeing it to the very end because it's worth it for your dreams, one won't give in and let go of those dreams. You'd rather go down with them than to just throw them away.

Mainstream? 4 chord? The Bouncing Souls was created when they were in high school. They wanted to simple 4 chord songs just so they could have something to do. If there's one band who hasn't sold out, it's this one. And how can they be mainstream? Look up some of their other stuff, it's brilliant.

now I think about it, I don't think it was an interview as such but at a gig. before playing the song, acoustic solo, he told the crowd about how the song came about and how he wrote it. its basically about all the years the band have been touring together. I think its a great song to be honest. there's very few other bands who embody the DIY punk ethic more than the bouncing souls!!!

It's funny because I used to dislike Rise records, because of the scene the label catered to. But I'm happy this record label is branching out, signing bands like The Bouncing Souls, Hot Water Music, Man Overboard, etc. The label isn't afraid to branch out, and that is respectable.

crazyliger. I've wracked my brains tryin to think of the gig where he explained the tune. I think its the encore of the troubadour gig where they performed "the good, the bad and the argyle" and maniacal laughter albums. I think its titled "the bouncing souls vs troubadour", I THINK its that one. not sure tho, I hope this helps mate!!!

Eh, it's a chill song but it's not really my thing. I'm into heavier and dancey stuff but I do like that Rise has branched out into other genres. Props to these guys for playing music for so long. Respect.

He is saying that just because a band has been around for a while does not make them good...like nickelback...he didn't say that the bouncing souls were bad...but the amount of time a band has been around does not automatically make them good. The Bouncing Souls happen to be good and have been around for quite some time.

Heard of these guys for the first time at Groezrock, now I get why there are practically the house band there xD awesome show. Had never seen crowdsurfers at an acoustic setting xD They were right it's kinda funny to see how some people didn't know them before and say rise signed a shitty band and then there are these fans who say they already exist 20 years xD Bouncing Souls rule :) can't wait till this album finally gets in store (yeah I know it's already a couple weeks out)

People need to expand their musical taste. On one hand you have the people saying "Oh Rise needs more diversity all their bands sound exactly the same" and then you have the people that hate on bands like this saying "Why are they on Rise, they should stick to Metalcore/ Post-hardcore bands" You can't make everybody happy, so just listen to the bands YOU choose and stop complaining that you don't like a band, other people do, if you don't want to be judged by your music taste don't judge others.

Yeah lol, I remember Rise being primarily punk pop/old school post hardcore and then the switch to Metalcore/new Post-hardcore and later people complained that too many bands of the same genre. I like Rise again because lately it seems like they are actually trying to get diversity again

if you knew the circumstances in which tthe song was written youd understand the nostalgic setting in which the video is made. its a nostalgic song therefore hence a nostalgic video. add to which, punk rock isnt about lambos, ho's an bling its about people writing great songs with soul and passion that will be around long after kanye has left the building. personally i think the video is perfect. at least try and learn something before posting your uneducated and ignorant views, many thanks!!!!
