Another benefit to a flatback model such as this is that it can be hung on the wall with a standard wall-mount style guitar hanger.

any chance of a tanpura C sharp live recording? i would be so grateful it would accompany my other instruments perfectly! (sitar, my new indian bansuri flute, egyptian oud, egyptian ney, and turkish ney etc.)

Hi.. While explaining you said the notes are 5,1,1 and one octave down.. I think it should be 5,8,8,1.. Because the first string note is which is pa the 5th note below second and third string note which is sa. Last string is 5 notes below first string note or 1 octave below second/third string note.... Hence should be 5,8,8,1.. Let me know if my understanding is correct.
