What a disgrace and shameful decision on his part for leaving such an important memorial and moving ceremony for such an incomprehensible excuse. His utter disrespect for these veterans who will probably be at their last attendance of such an historic event is beyond belief. The blame lies squarely on his shoulders and just goes to show what a weak, self-serving, selfish and incompetent leader and Prime Minister he is. 🤬😡

We all know D-Day was a joint effort with Brits, Americans, Canadians, Free-French, Free-Polish, Free-Czechs etc all playing their part, if not actually on the beaches then in the air, or in supporting roles, even the resistance groups and individuals behind enemy lines, etc, even before the 6th of June in the planning and preparations of the landings. It's amazing what countries can achieve when they work together - a complete contrast being the utterly moronic act of imposing trade sanctions on oneself, i.e. brexit. Totally disrespectful of Sunak. He probably thought that those that took part were mostly just working class, so he wasn't going to waste more time than he thought necessary on the commemorations.

Don't make out that military work is such a terrible thing. It is not. It is great. Very enjoyable and great for one's opinion of one's self. The first week or so is an upheaval because you must behave in a way you've never been taught before. It soon becomes habit. For some it even becomes an addiction. Stop talking negative about it. What's wrong with you? You probably wouldn't be able to hold a gun let alone use one. Have you ever done military work? No? Shut up then.
