Some days I just want politics which is the main reason for this podcast. Thankfully there is the News Agents which is much more mature (I guess?) and doesn't constantly descend into sex jokes for 20 mins or going off on tangents for another 10 mins. They all seem like a good laugh to be around but it is the length for me

@@CurtalA yeah I think that's all fine (although personally I do find some of the guests they have on the news agents to be dire 😅) . As you say, there are a plethora of alternative podcasts available. This one has it's own niche, a fairly enthusiastic following for its offering, and others are more serious. All of that is fairly easily understandable to me. What i find baffling, is some peoples' grim determination to extract their pound of political analysis from this pod at seemingly any cost, by asking for timestamps, telling them they're not funny, threatening to unsubscribe, or I've even seen comments on here seriously telling them that they are not 'doing their job' because they're not serious enough. That kind of behaviour just seems unhinged to me...
