Serious OFF THE CHART!!!!! Best action on the rising Cutthroat trout on the Giant Sakasa Wool Kebari and use of the wonderful ONI Honryu 450!!! Incredible action, you deserve it after that rough physically endured hike, really enjoyed that Oni 450 singing during each hook up. Well done Kris.

The brutal hike was made a little less brutal by that awesome action. Wish you had been able to land that two-hander.

Yeah, catching some nice fish after that sort of effort makes them that much sweeter.

@ I really like the flies you’ve tied on instagram; how long have you been tying? and what kind of silk do you use?
@tenkaraonthetrailАй бұрын
@mvsc-k5e I’ve tied a lot over the last 10-15 years, but I started well before that. The silk I’ve been using lately is TIRE.

Beautiful scenery. Are the cutties native to the lakes?
@tenkaraonthetrail2 ай бұрын
No they are not native to the lakes. They usually have to be stocked at those elevations/locations, typically every 8 years by dropping them from planes/helicopters. Some of the lakes are self-sustaining depending on the spawning habitat.

Great video, I really enjoy all your videos. Could you post a picture of the flies you used?
@tenkaraonthetrail2 ай бұрын
@bradleyflood4213 thanks, I’ll have to check on the fly pics. Not sure if I have them.
@bradleyflood42132 ай бұрын
@@tenkaraonthetrail that's okay, if could post the name of them and I'll look them up!!
@tenkaraonthetrail2 ай бұрын
@bradleyflood4213 the primary one is the Oxford wool kebari (sakasa). The others are typically just my own unnamed creations.
