There is so many things I want to say: I'm not proud of the things I did in my marriage the mehndi function songs bepardagi it wasn't very extravagant but I still feel ashamed as many of my relatives are from low income family. I feel like I should have had a simple wedding no family pressure etc. The second important thing the tarbiyah of kids i really agree with the imitation part you said now that I am a parent i really feel like I have to change a lot do certain things to make my child a better person now I'm also seeing the flaws in me that I want to correct in my child. I also believe there are so many options are available for kids that they don't feel attracted to anything there time span in decreasing day by day. Another point i feel like our parents or the generation before us focused so much on education but like only 10 percent on Deen like only namaz on time qari sahab se parhna and ramadan k Rozay I really wished they should have focused more on religion as they focused on education.

I did the same in my university days. All were forcing me to join the farewell party etc. . i took a stand against these things during my whole 4 years of university. And alhamdulilah in the last days of final years I destroyed the farewell party by counselling the boys and at last getting the majority of the boys on my side . This is truly one of the most needed podcasts, every person who wants to get married along with their parents should watch this. We're currently split into either the ones who discuss everything about their lives with their partners including bachon k names 😂( haram walay) and others who don't get to discuss anything because apparently people don't approve this (?) 😭 Khuram bhai said it perfectly k ye na ho aik aik taraf ja raha ho and dusra dusri taraf. Our people believe that everything will just align and if you question it then they call it as lack of faith. (Its called tying your camel and then leaving it to Allah)

We all need to mend our ways as a society.. in my own wedding it was not the relatives or in laws who criticized me for my choices.. infact it was my own family who wanted to spend extravagantly.. i still remember being scolded by my own mother several times for choosing to wear a 50k wedding dress instead of a 2 lac one.. i was scolded for not spending thousands on heavy makeups in costly salons.. i was scolded for not wearing hair extensions and fake lashes.. i was scolded for not having Quran on my head during rukhsati.. i succeeded stopping some of it but in many aspects my family still didn't listen like giving jahez and booking costly halls... InShallah i will change this trend and teach my kids to stop this culture if show off and instead use their blessings wisely..
