I’m watching this drama because of Li Jiulin. He is not just a cute face and a good looking guy, he is also a great actor you truly believe everything he says or whatever he does. You can either fall in love with him or really hate him. He can be a sweet heart but also a bad villain. He is tall really handsome with a perfect body and he knows that! That’s why he takes his clothes off in every drama he knows that the girls we will get crazy because he is so freaking hot ❤. Also the way he talks and the way approaches to the females in every drama is amazing he acts like he is really in love with the ladies like you believe all his expressions and everything he says. I have to say it, I compare him with the Latino actors! He just have that passion and expression in his eyes when he is declaring his love to The Who ever is the female lead. He is a great actor every expression is so real for me. when he is so sweet you love him but when he is really mean you really get to hate him! Hopefully he keeps doing more and more dramas he awesome! I’m his fan!! ❤

ML is really good but the story sucks. Sexual violence is never OK. Showing forceful intimacy as love is wrong as it gives predators with power an excuse to continue being assholes and brain wash victims into believing that being kissed touched or forced to submit is what love requires. NEVER! I like the passion between two consenting adults and understand that two willing adults can do a lot of things sexually outside of norms but this script is really wonky. I hope the actors are more selective in what they play. Developing as an actor is one thing. Participating in a drama showing that disrespect is love leaves me disappointed

@@katew2694 i sure hope that people can tell the difference between real life and fiction. I agree that sexual violence is not okay. However I think it’s different for an actor/actress when they’re choosing their roles. Sometimes these actors and actresses will choose roles that bring them out of their comfort zone and that’s alright. This drama has brought out passionate responses and comments, I think that’s what the writer and director was going for.

Mr. Li Jiu Lin is trully a great actor. As an added bonus he is willing to undres in front of the camera and yes it's really nice what he shows for us. Unfortunately this role mistakenly portrays being in love as having permision to dominate and force woman to submit particularly sexually. Yuck.

@@katew2694 LOL, I agree he has a great body and he’s a great actor 😂. I think he and any other actor taking on characters that are controversial just comes with the territory. His character here wasn’t really bad, but then again this character wasn’t the best either, I mean I’ve seen worse. I’m just happy to see him getting to act and do what he likes, which is acting. 🤩

I think what people keep forgetting is that this story is based in ancient times. Was it right to dominate women in any way? No, not at all, but you can't apply modern sensitivity to what was more likely the norm during that time. Society deemed that women belonged to men, so the script is staying true to the time period.

This is a costume version of a type of revenge-story I’ve seen, often set in the Republican era, like “Mutual Redemption Love”, “Maid’s Revenge” and “Bride’s Revenge”. This one is a bit different since both the old and the young man involved, are targets for revenge. As in the other versions, the atmosphere is so intense, you need a knife to cut into it and the scenes with FL and ML oozes of seduction, self restraint and passion - and real kisses. Brilliant actors (all of them) and chemistry. And it might just be the first where I actually liked 2FL even if she was ML’s unwanted wife. What a life, being in a loveless marriage with no support or warmth. I loved how she had her own story and satisfying ending. Only thing was that in terms of revenge, FL wasn’t that capable but had to rely on others for that. In terms of intellect and cunningness, she was quite skilled. So, if you love an intense revenge-story with lots of passion, this is a “Must Watch”.
