ROSWELL, Ga. -- Tuesday, September 18 -- Rising Storm 2: Vietnam players can look forward to one of the biggest multiplayer updates released to date with today’s launch of the Rising Storm 2: Vietnam MP Campaign update from publisher Tripwire Interactive and developer Antimatter Games. Following a successful beta and out now on Steam, the update introduces a new 64-player Campaign Mode that tasks players with deciding the fate of the war in Vietnam. Choose between Northern or Southern forces and fight for control of key territories from 1965 through 1975 with available forces and weaponry varying depending on the year.
Rising Storm 2: Vietnam MP Campaign key features include:
• Full 64-Player Campaign Mode
• Choose your side: Take control of Northern or Southern forces, battling for control region by region
• Fight from 1965 through 1975 with different forces and weaponry available to each side as time progresses
• Select regions to compete for, the army to use, and the map to fight over
• Northern forces can make strategic use of the Ho Chi Minh Trail option to bring stronger People’s Army of Vietnam (PAVN) forces to bear
• Southern forces can respond with carefully timed use of the Search and Destroy option
• Added Variety: Fight over classic maps with new armies, different Commander abilities and weapons, and different attackers and variety
• Help decide the fate of the Vietnam war!

New Map -- Highway 14: One of the winners from the Rising Storm 2: Vietnam $40,000 Modding Contest, this massive map finds the US Army fighting along a highway through difficult terrain, clearing objectives while NFL guerrilla forces work to stop them at every opportunity.
As with every significant update, today’s Rising Storm 2: Vietnam MP Campaign update also includes a large number of smaller updates, bug fixes, and quality of life enhancements, including:

Tripwire decided to appeal more to a casual audience with this game, and in doing so they dissapointed real Red Orchestra fans, and casual fans. The gameplay consists of running around like a headless chicken like in a CoD game. Pretty sad. This game only appeals to a small audience looking for mindless shooting in a realistic shooter

@@MaggotAddict21 dude, I've played this game, and it involves more than headless chicken gameplay, crouch walking up the hill to the fortified objective to try and take it, checking around corners, the same as red orchistra and rising storm... have you even played it? The player dies quickly. If they're not careful about their movements and surroundings they are huge targets.

I went from Battlefield hardcore mode to this and I don't think I'll ever go back. Turning hud all the way off makes this game have some of the highest immersion I've ever played. People who value teamwork are rewarded. I love that all playstyles work here and the TTK being 1 or 2 bullets gives you such a rush when clearing out buildings. This game is well polished and if you want something more hardcore than COD or BF this is definitely worth a try, there are tons of free weekends, so you don't have to risk your wallet. Tripwire loves their fans and even has modding competitions and you may see your map in the official list one day. Constant updates that include free maps, factions, and weapons. Most AAA companies make you pay out the nose for these things. Also LSD mode

dont forget you'll also save alot of money. You pay 20-30€ on release and get free content for years afterwards (even up to 4 years and it'll still be GBs in size) while BF = 60 bucks on release + season pass + extra content...

People definitely complained during the releases of all of those games. Just because they existed physically doesnt not mean people were actually deployed in any numbers with them.... I'm sure there were some early EOtech style red dots but that doesnt change that no American GIs or Spec ops (that I've read about) was ever issued one. Im glad i got this game for $25. I just wish there were a few more guns. Not like bf4 level but maybe a few more captured ww2 guns for viet cong, full auto m14 for the machine gunner, M72 law for grenadier and an m16 with low power scope for the sniper. Another good idea would be to give the m16 30 rnd mags for later stages of the war. I think they were general issue starting in 1969 or 1970. In Apocalypse Now which was set in 1970, Martin Sheen and some other troops had 30 rounders in their guns.
