Risk of Rain Returns: Every Secret Strange Prism Skin and How to Unlock Them

In this video I cover the secret prismatic skins hidden around risk of rain returns. These only spawn on certain stage variants and can be a bit of a pain to find. I recommend playing with the command artifact to pick mobility items and playing on drizzle difficulty so you can safely ignore the clock.

Not sure if this is correct, because I couldn't get mercenary prism even playing with him. I went to the area, playing with mercenary on drizzle, to put the battery on the box, but the prism was not there, just the outline. I got it only on another run playing with mercenary on monsoon. I think another thing triggered the prisms.

For the Huntress prismatic skin, you don't need to take the alternate path around through the walls. You can just climb down the rope that's hidden in the lava pool.

Something you can do to get more items instead of looping is getting the captions brooch and just spawning in chests and if you have robomando you can beat the tp and farm since they don’t use money to open chests

Drifter's prism can be grabbed by following a series of small invisible platforms that form a trail out to the ropes beneath those platforms. A friend and I found said invisible platforms by accident

I'm pretty bummed out that Commando's shard skin doesn't really change much. He's just a little more yellow with a blue visor. I was kinda hoping he would get a purple skin with a red visor, as a nod to Nemesis Commando from Starstorm (for those who don't know, Hopoo actually brought some of the Starstorm devs on-board to work on rorR).

awesome brother, love the game coverage, got a sub from me. is there a chance you can make a video on covering the most difficult enemies/bosses and how to play/dodge vs them? Also a little priority list (who to focus first, threat assessment) could be great as well, I know this kind of video existed for ror2 boy woolie back in the day and it helped me a lot to improve. This could also make judgement runs more accessible and less daunting for players :)

for the artificer dried lake 3 shard there's actually another hidden rope where a small thing is sticking out the ground on the top part of the elongated z piece at ~3:41 in the vid, was able to get that one just running huntress with warp dart mobility. took like a good hr blindly figuring out the different hidden routes you go through to avoid the pitfalls though lol

a bit late to this but i think the "todo" pilot skin may be an unfinished version of his providence skin that you get for beating the final trial. The orange on the jacket matches up with the icon and the name may just be referring to the coloring on the face and arms not being finished yet. probably wrong but my best guess

Huge tip for getting the loader skin: you can use the merc to get it with 8 backup mags and 3 hopoo feathers. Just jump forwards, dash, then use your remaining jumps and sword spins to reach the shard.

It's possible that there's two skins for every character, but given that these things are particularly well hidden, it's going to take a while to find them all unless Hopoo straight up tells people, given how specific robomando's unlock is, making back tracing the unlock hard in the code reportedly, they might have hidden some behind hypercontextual things in a similar manner.

It's unique I guess... only in that it's really simple compared to everyone else, It's really just a fun little easter egg character. I mean it's fine that you like playing him, but like, it's arguably much more interesting to synergize limited items with unique skill-based abilities than just, playing a mindless blank slate basically.

I found huntres' skin by accident while playing her lol. I was walking in the lava because I just fought the direseeker and then she started climbing down into it. I use controller so accidentally moving up and down ropes happens often, but it's not frustrating

There is a challenge that actually says that you have to play on Monsoon. It is the only one requiring Monsoon.

If you really need mobility early especially on that Sky Meadow one then you can artifact of honor + command and grab Clovers and farm enemies for more items instead of looping, it's the best way to get hundreds of items in a run when almost every enemy starts dropping an item after 25-40 clovers

I kinda thing in modern day most devs add secrets and just expect community to find it collectively. By various means of somebody accidentally finding it and sharing about it, to other people actively searching every nook and cranny for loooong times to make sure that there isn't a random hidden wall or secret anywhere. I personally don't care much for finding secrets myself so I am glad if there are resources of people telling me where thing are

Yeah that was the problem I did it two more times after even did the 56 Leaf Clover strategy another guy in the comments came up with and only needed 17 of that Secondary Magazine with A Saftey Jetpack and 6-7 Goat Hooves with Mercenary’s Whirlwind (Default Secondary)

Your choice. There are several of them. 1. Acrid in a water location. 2. Pig in an apron in a secret location pig beach. 3. The golem that is below the 1 location of the proximity artifact. 4. Killing robomanda to get a secret character. 5. The lizard that sits on the right behind the lava to open the miner
