I can't get over how clear and colorful those underwater shots come out! On the surface, they just look like mucky, stagnant pools, but in reality you can see they are gorgeous, mini seascapes.

That looks like a great place, and to have free use of all that gear as well, wonderful. If you really have broken your finger Mazzy Dans correct, if you went to a doctor or hospital all they’ll do is strap it to the next finger with a plaster. I broke my toe one morning blundering about at 4am looking for my shoes getting ready to go to work, I thought I’d just stubbed it on an armchair as I walked by. It was quite painful all day at work and started to bruise up, so I went to the hospital on my way home that evening. An X-ray confirmed it was broken, all they did was strap it to the next toe with surgical tape and told me to rest it. Being supported by the other toe eased the pain. Take care if it’s going to get stormy.

Something you could try if using wellingtons or waders that are a size to big, put on an extra pair of socks. I often wear them in winter and purposely buy them a size bigger so as to wear wellington boot socks to ensure my feet stay warm.

Great seeing these guys and how clear the sea is. I’m not too far at all from you but heading back south tomorrow. Batten down the hatches for the storm on Sunday/Monday! That site at Clachtoll is one of my favourites. Cracking facilities and location. Shhh don’t tell everyone! Vass waders are brilliant, mine have been really good so far.

Hi Dan 👋... the birds on the cliffs are called Cormorants not Cordorants 🦅. Great underwater film, so pretty! Scotland's beaches are beautiful, I was camping at Mull 18 years ago and was sat on the beach one evening and I saw a whale in the sea!!! Hope you and Mazzy enjoy every minute. First time at clachtoll beach camp site was 30 years ago, 3rd week in may only one tent on site and that was me and my son, back then the toilet block was blue shed, but was clean, happy days, climb spilt rock, love you both, paul

Wader selection, they cab as cheap or as expensive as you choose, depends on how much use they are gonna get, biggest consideration would be the makeup of the soles, felt soles excellent for non slip grip on boulders slippy rocks etc , alternatively studded soles. Rubber cleated soles are very slippy on rocks. Your choice sir.

The underwater footage looked great! Mazzy love, Dan is right, tape your injured finger to its next uninjured finger. (We call it buddy tape in the US.) It will take the pressure off your sore finger and give it a chance to heal. It will also help you remember to not use it so it can heal. Love to you both! Safe travels!

Mazzy I broke my finger at the joint in 3 places in May. I bought from Amazon, Lutter finger splint a pack of 4 for £7 they have a metal back and soft fabric material with Velcro fasteners they helped a lot and easy to take off when you need to wash your hands. Easy to ware with gloves. Finger is still bent but it’s healed ok now. I did go to the a &e and got it xrayed.

That was amazing, surely one of the most stunning looking area on the trip so far. Oddly enough, I actually saw a small shark 2 days ago, it was dead and washed up on the shore near Aberaeron in Wales. I looked it up online and found it was a type of Dogfish but still categorized as a shark. Anyway loved the video - you can't beat scrambling about and rockpooling at the coast. Brilliant stuff. Let's hope this storm doesn't kick up too much trouble for you. When I first heard it was going to mostly affect Scotland, I did think about you both up there in the motorhome!

Hi both , I think you could set a new trend off Mazzy with those boots. Hehe. Looks like tide is on its way out. So could have been worse, if it was right in, I guess if the tide hasn’t been out to long , it’s been freshly in , hence why the pools appear to be look a bit deeper. Dan looks as if he is having a lovely enjoyable time , how nice for you both . Thanks for today . Nice underwater views, I thought that what the sea anemones shoot out was a kind I’d poise not to other fish as a protection to the anemones. But I may have the wrong thing , Dan is right mazzy garter strap it’s called , but it must but a proper wrap round, Elastoplast would be best,. Our son got a pic of Elons space shuttle the other day, the solar panels at the side were all lit up. He did get a pic , but you needed to watch it on an ipad or computer to see it well , but it looked good , then last Thursday our other son got more northern lights pics so lots going on up there at the mo.
