It’s simple math, to insurance it’s $800, to crazy car people it’s priceless.

With the gas tank empty all that was needed was some fuel hose and a gas can on the passenger side floor. Disconnect the fuel pump under the hood and connect it to the hose running to the gas can.

So shop I used to work at there was this old Buick outback and A bunch of work had been done on it. The guy had stopped paying and it had been sitting for a while but the story was that he was in Los Angeles during the Rodney King riots and somebody had left this car in the riot area and told him that they would sell it to him for 500 bucks but they got to go get it. He ended up paying a tow truck driver like $2,500 to go down, grab this car and get the hell out of there

Plot twist that car became sentient and has been trying to hunt him down for revenge ever since, it just keeps losing track of him during those cannonball runs, 🤣

@@kingcountrytowing I assume the horror one is Christine, but I'd be interested to know what the second one was called.
@kingcountrytowing20 күн бұрын
@@RoadWarrior_John It was actually a short horror story written in an anthology, I think it was called something like uncle johns truck, it was about an old abandoned truck in a field that always seemed to edge closer to the house!!! The second one was also in the same horror anthology, I'm sorry I don't have the titles to them. Ill try to look them up

I remember this one story. When I was a little kid back in the 70s, my friends father had a flat tire on the Eastside Drive. After he started getting the car jacked up. A car pulled in behind him which my father friend thought these guys were going to help rescue him. Instead, The two guys got out of their car. Walked up to my father’s friend and said you can keep the tires. All we want is the stereo and the battery. Welcome to New York. L O L.

Just thinking about it, if when the car breaks down in such a dangerous place and it's freezing cold and nowhere to go - why not call the police? An officer, other than direct traffic away from hitting you and keeping you warm in the squad car could possibly agree to tow it to a safe area 🤷🏼♂️
