Or more like they became big enough for direct contact at KZbin, so if they experience any problems they can contact them directly and get it fixed. The HoloEN concert was in a KZbin event hall, so they definitely have ties with KZbin now. Though this one for HoloID is more related to religious laws in Indonesia with them tightening laws over the years to adhere to Muslim values.

I believe it is not Indonesian Broadcasting Commission or Ministry of Communication and Information fault, since Dinar Candy (for outdonesian, pls don't google it) in the swimming pool or any naughty yabe podcast video that target mas-mas ngabers is still accessible.😂 I think ID branch has their own policy and I believe it is business wise since ID viewers has different behaviour. They have their own view on holo talent. I think you've got some confusion here based on the distinction between what one might call an "Islamic state" and "Islamic country" as a Westerner would use it casually. Islam makes no distinction in scripture or philosophy between state and religion. Islam is as much a political manifesto as it is a religion, hence why Indonesia is unusual (but not unique) among Islamic majority nations, in that you inhereted the idea of a secular state from the Christian Dutch. This is not the case for Westerners with a Christian heratige. The idea that religion and state are seperate realms has been entrenched since around the early 1100s and is a dominant idea to the extent that almost nobody even realises that it might be otherwise. When a Westerner tells you "Islamic country" the chances are that they just mean "you have a large Islamic majority", which is definitely true of Indonesia. In the same way that Mexico is a "Catholic country" because 77% of its population is Catholic, even though the government is secular. I can't say I know a lot about women's status in Indonesia, but I think it's pretty evident that comparisons to the Arab states would indeed be unfair.

yes, but the problem is it is not that obvious about the boundaries, so the regulator will have their subjective rules about what is acceptable or not, and then they will give you warnings if you cross the line. It goes way long before internet in movies and TV censorship, that's what happened in last clip, if you know Sandy from Spongebob, it gets censored when she's wearing bikini, or Shizuka from doraemon. And of course they also want to bring it to internet era, but you can't rule internet completely, so what they're doing, is this passive-agressive behaviour that if you aren't registered and comply with the rules, you will be blocked, that's what happened to reddit, funny enough, Twitter is one of the biggest p*rn site, yet they comply and block some accounts from the region.
