Gosh she is amazing! I just listened to a bunch of female comedians who seem to be in a competition to say the most shocking and vulgar thing they can think of ... this "shock comedy" is a major part of their schtick. Rita's comedy is still edgy, but remains funny and clever without being cheap

It's great to see and hear Rita Rudner again. I enjoyed her work years ago and wondered where she had gone. On a more serious note, the "sui$idcal ideation" that can occur soon after starting anti-depressants, at least in many cases, is not that mysterious. By the time many seek treatment for depression, they have made a mess of their lives. When an antidepressant is effective, often these people suddenly become fully aware of that mess and are overwhelmed. That is why the effect typically happens soon after the medication is started.
