You know what thank you for this! I’m 38, a year ago I became a widow and I constantly worry about people judging me. Sometimes I refrain myself from wearing a pretty dress because in my head I think every one of my neighbors will judge me and I’m tired as hell of that feeling. @Sarah Marie you are absolutely right about women’s uterus as being a vessel for another life. There should be a class ( mandate even) for those who wants to have kids to take and pass with high marks before they can have kids. My parents have 9 kids but they are the best parents to me.
@thnkr09173 жыл бұрын
@Sarah Marie Really, what Mom other than a comedian joking, really wants a whole lot of credit for giving birth? I don't know what circle YOU run in but everyone I know is a Mom and NO one really lists that as her first thing to be proud of, so much as being proud of her kids, so it's basically a non-issue that you used as an excuse to bash women....over a comedian who meant it as a friggin joke!! Anyway, Karen, I mean Sarah to answer your comment, I dunno if you have children, but pushing a baby's head out of your va-jay deserves credit whether a Mom asks for it or not. You do realize that a woman can die from childbirth even in the USA right? A woman risks her LIFE every time she gives birth, especially in less developed countries. No one would dare bash a service member because they may have to give their life for this country, but a Mom who may have to die to give birth shouldn't dare take credit for that!! People, btw, are also so anxious to take a woman's choice about a pregnancy away from her, but they are real quick to tell her that giving birth and choosing life is also not anything to be proud of. Of course, people who are also fantastic parents should get more and separate Kudos, but that is a whole different subject. Sarah, do you tell YOUR mother how little her giving birth to you means to you? You should tell your OWN mother how you don't appreciate her sacrifices so that you can exist. Shame on you. Also, we give men all kinds of father's day/dad credit for their sperm-donorship, no matter how involved they are and they never had to risk one bit of their health or 9 months of their lives or risk dying for that honor. Let's talk about the next 18 years, because we all know the odds are that Mom gets the lion's share of THAT whole job, no matter what the fathers claim, and no matter how many Karens judge her, less than perfect, performance as a mother. If you can't be supportive of other women, then at least keep your negative opinion to yourself. I'm super tired of women bashing other women! Mothering is hard and it's really pathetic for a WOMAN to be that way toward other women when we get enough of that from men. Your not a messenger, your a karen, complaining about a comedian by bashing other women because you were literally looking for something to complain about, so you just had to lay into, WHAT, women having pride in giving birth?! Geez.

@@tinydancer36 oh don’t worry I be already offended some people telling me I’m pushy. Even my mother said where the hell did my daughter go when I ticked her off one day for not listening to me properly. I’ve come straight out and said I’m sick of all the bs and being taken advantage of. Some people salute you and just yell you go girl so it’s kind of interesting. Let’s just say since I started I’ve had temporary bans on multiple social media platforms which now I guess I can wear like a badge of honour. I’ve also had Aggressive men who support the Ts call me a Terf. Seriously the only feminist policies I follow are those of the suffragettes and first wave feminism not the radical post modern feminism of today.

Accidentally came across this (but maybe it wasn’t an accident) and I laughed throughout the entire set so hard and loud. You are THE BEST female comedian I have ever heard. Everything about you was entertaining. Best of all no vulgarity, no swearing made it REAL COMEDY. The other stuff is so boring. You my friend, earn your money and tons of respect. The other comedians put so much sex, swearing and political views in their “act” that it’s not funny. I literally skip that garbage now. I thank you so very much for entertaining us all. Bless you

I've worked at Walgreens for three years now and have taken soooo many passport pictures for a few different kinds of passports (we do passport pictures for more than just US citizens and follow guidelines for whichever country the photos are for). I get reactions from people all the time who go, "wait, I can't smile or wear white??" I sympathize (though I'm numb to it at this point), and explain that the goal is essentially a "friendly mugshot", which often gets either a giggle or an annoyed huff followed by a perfect passport photo every time (you're welcome). Babies are my favorite though since we just have to get them to look at the camera, which is always an adorable and comical experience every time since they're always looking everywhere except at the camera. 😂 Edit: I'm two decades from 50 but I already feel the vibes of not giving a sh*t about what anyone thinks. Life is too short to fuss around with things that are beyond our control, plus my partner and I have daily rant sessions with one another to help sort our thoughts out before settling into our routines. However with the worker "shortage", I am at least a little gracious towards those who show up to their miserable jobs. Retail employees don't get paid enough for what they put up with, not to mention the lack of workers puts an unreal amount of strain on those who chose to stay - they are not compensated for the additional workload either. Be kind to those who serve you, because many of them don't get to take their mandatory breaks anymore and they're exhausted from the constant demands from customers (not to mention that product shortages are not the fault of those who stock the shelves). Kindness goes a long way ❤

@11Renee11 I went through Hell trying to get the cancer treated. I literally had to change my health insurance plans, then start interviewing docs all over again, and each of the 4 docs involved, had a 1 month lead time to get in. So it took WAY too long to get the surgery, but I finally got that done in the spring, and then went thru 21 sessions of radiation. Now I'm on hormone reducers for the next 5-10 years, which have some horrible side effects (bone pain making it difficult to walk, for one). But I'm finally done with active treatment and I'm counting my blessings... not everyone in the world (or even in this country) has access to mammograms and other advanced Healthcare. Thanks for asking. 😄
