when put rest on hands on the bars like at 4:10 the bike is still very stable, and resembles being on the top flat portion of a drop bar

I have these bars and love them! The 45° angle of the Jones Bars were a little too extreme for me. The angle of these seems to hit The Sweet Spot. On my Surly ogre I run them with the Positive rise for my bikepacking set up for a little more upright position and I'll flip them over to the negative rise for a more aggressive position when I'm using the bike for mountain biking.

Thanks! I really appreciate and enjoy how succinct, yet detailed all of your material is! I am much more comfortable riding my mountain bike than on drop bars anymore. I always seems to suffer from wrist tension and numbness on the hoods. Consequently, I'm seriously thinking about selling my 2020 Topstone Carbon Ultegra RX that's not even a year old and going with a hardtail or something like a Cutthroat with a flatbar setup. My wife and I recently did a 21 mile ride up at the Grand Canyon on pavement with her on her Topstone and me on my full suspension and I EASILY kept up with her, and I didn't even lock out the suspension (I like to jump over things and play). That essentially convinced me that I could have something like a hardtail as my only bike with 2 sets of wheels, and it would be a wide range 1X. I love the simplicity of shifting my X01 Eagle and being able to adjust the derailleur right on the shifter. And the dropper is the icing on the cake, along with the 28 pound weight with pedals (carbon everything). Stay safe out there!

The way the bike industry keeps reinventing things, for example the old school allrounder pattern of handlebars as seen here. Then one day the bike industry will invent the bicycle and marketing boffins will sell you this new cool invention of the bicycle !!!! But I'll add that the allrounder handlebars are extremely comfortable and I run them on my touring bike

Can't wait to get mine! I was running straight bars, then ran 35° 640mm M bars for a while. 35° back sweep feels a tad too much and 640mm a tad too narrow for me, so I'm eager to try these at 27.5°. I'll definitely have to cut it down to 720mm to be able to pass my bike through my apartment's narrow doorway, sadly.

@LockedinCycling5 ай бұрын
@@chandrashekarmudhol I didn’t try any of those types of add ons, it makes sense since it is a tighter bend then most bars like this. I know ride farr has some bar ends like that as well, but it may just be down to the shape and tighter bend that may have issues
