Honest suggestion: Prefer offline over online, agar IIT ke Profs se hi sikhna to NPTEL he hi, offline me jo exposure milega vo online me nahi milega. PS: I had BTech from T3 insti, currently doing PG at IITB in AI itself. I was once a student of IITM BS degree and seriously felt the difference in quality and eventually did end up in dropping even after having scored 90+ in qualifiers and first semester

HCL Tech came to our college (12th grade) to give us an offer, They said that they will get us a seat in IIT Guwahati in b.tech-AI and ML course if we join their company (Online/Hybrid course). We have to take 1 year training, in which they would give 10k stipend 6 months if we qualify their selection round. After that I think the base salary is 16k. We didn't find the offer appealing and we didn't even bother asking further info.

Let me make it very clear these degrees are very very hard there was a friend who decided to leave a programme like this cause he wanted to focus on the hybrid bs degree it was very difficult for him to focus on any one .....And there are some great people who are doing both online and offline degree but they are regretting their decision don't fall for these so called IIT degrees......hope it helped

@@Calvin_Roy183 you have to show any valid scorecard of various entrance examinations... like jee mains or advanced/neet/state level entrance examinations/ kvpy/ bitsat Then... fill the registration form They will shortlist you ... if you have good percentile in these examinations.... After the shortlisting, there will be online document verification... then you will pay the semester fee 40k... then there will be orientation....

Honestly i prefer iitm data science if you have what it takes you can reach heights the only difference is you arent spoon fed high paying placements and no college life . i enrolled into this because i didn't wanted to join tier 2 / 3 , biggest pros are IIT MADRAS name kinda helps like i easily get good paying internships idk about placements tho because i am in foundation year right now also no attendance bs But know that its kinda tough i was doing ba economics hybrid + iitm dsa + remote sde role at a startup I had to dropout of ba econ because it was getting literally impossible to keep up Only join this program if you have enough time i used to think i am a genius i thought i can easily do it without much efforts but i was humbled real soon i am barely hitting 60% average so thats that Also the student quality is kinda better I have a batchmate who is currently working in san fran Google , another one that is a ca , several iit students , etc But this isn't the case in iitp hybrid course they are literally letting everyone in

In IITP there is no age limit and no boards % or jee mains %ile criteria. One of my friends who scored 66% in boards and 48%ile in Mains was selected for the hybrid course. Also this year they lso increased seats from about 600 to 1000.

Also I have heard that those who are from other colleges while pursuing this degree do not get internship opportunities, but I am not sure about that.

Hello Sir, I have done Diploma after class 10 and wants to appear for JEE 2024 and targetting NITs. I have query that Will NIT consider the Diploma as it is also an equivalent of Class 12. Asking such question because during the registration of JEE 2024, In the Qualifying exam column - in the Diploma option there is no mentioning of Only for admission to IITs whereas during the registration in 2023 it was clearly mention that Diploma - only for IIt's. I hope you will clarify my query as soon as possible.

Chup chap offline degree karle Bhai, the degree should be valid, but jo exposure and bahut sare chije offline student ko milti he that you will miss, and surely it will hamper your application. At IITB, most of the undergrads have already worked or are working under multiple Prof. which not only results into publications or LORs, but bahut profile ko boost krta he, apart from that the sem ex program which majority of students attend, and not to forget the open electives that we have here, bahut kuch hota he offline me that you will miss in online. PS: I am a PG student from IIT Bombay, maine IITM online degree me kuch sems spend bhi kiye he... And hence talking from my own experience after studying in both online and offline mode
