Yep, Riley's reaction at 5:07 says it for me, there's just something about the interaction of alcohol and wood that makes it so hard to replicate in a O%ABV "Whiskey"

I bought a bottle of the whiskey tonight and maid a manhattan. This review did not taste the whiskey. Don’t bother wasting your money. This was horrible if you have ever actually had a manhattan. I would rather drink water or a Diet Coke. It was horrible and i will pour out entire bottle. 3 of us tasted it and all agreed it was a waste of money.

I'm curious, what type of NA vermouth did you use? We haven't picked up a bottle of that yet. I would try a whiskey sour. We made one on the video, and I thought it was pretty good.

@@carl_busch i tasted it first then thought it might be a bit better with other ingredients to hide the taste. Did not taste like whiskey. I dumped entire bottle out. Would not recommend to anyone.

I've heard the Ritual Whiskey is terrible. Spiritless Kentucky 74 and Monday's Both seem to make a better Whiskey alt. Stella Rosa makes a great NA wine, which seems like a unicorn also. Do not try FRE. It is not good. (Shudders) So not good...
