Yes I just stayed there 10/4 through 10/8/23 awesome time, all food was awesome stayed rui-reggae remember to tip the workers because they do an amazing job w pampering you and keeping your cup filled w your favorite alcoholic beverage…

The RIU site specifies gratuity is included, but have seen reviews mentioning some expectations or different service provided, depending on tipping. Can you share your thoughts on the custom at this resort specifically? For getting drinks at the bar, at the food buffet, and house keeping?

Well we tipped if the service was amazing but we didn't have anyone asking or requesting to be tipped.

Which hotels have you guys been to where you thought the food and beach was better than here? I spent 12 days here last month and I’m missing the food now! Steak house steak was nice/outdoor jerk station, and in the buffet the salmon and goat were my favourite always cooked nice too - loved it! Entertainment bored me tbh agree on that and the sea weed was too much. Our room was decent sized and you can easily swap if you want something else. Have to agree service was excellent, even the reception phoning up my room to ask if everything is okay and I’ve never been to a hotel where you get given drinks so fast in the buffet😂❤

Lol thatd an awesome experience we definitely enjoyed our stay there and will be back!!! The food was very solid and as Jamaicans we appreciated the great local food there. Other hotels that gave us great food were Jewel Paradise Cove and Ocean Eden Bay as well......there are a few more but those were always in our mind.

I went October 2023, great service, great entertainment. We stayed at Riu Macao. Only downside was that that air conditioning in the room was motion detector. Which I totally agree is necessary for energy conservation, but when you are asleep at night, it gets hot and you have to wake up and wave your arms😂. I loved the swim up bar, entertainment was awesome too!!

I was at Riu palace punta cana in 2019 and IT was awesome as always (third time in Riu after Cancun and Aruba). I Will stay at This hotel in jamaica next april 2024. Hopefully IT Will be great as expected

The food was very very good. I missed it a lot first day back home. That jerk pork! Chef kiss! Toooo many opions. The only time i seen and ate oxtails was the 3 o clock buffet thats in the dining area. What I can say is sometimes it's not hot enough. Get a hot plate from warmers. The night snacks at sports bar aren't the best. So I would politely ask the chefs for plastic and wrap up my plate to have at night. And to eat on the beach. Had to walk to the bar for the microwave.

@ShenLG So right now they are offering $619 in credits for about $200 extra. From what I was able to gather online it's a coupon book that discounts services not included in the all inclusive resort like spa service and jet ski rental. I can't find the prices for the extra amenities.

I smoked everywhere on the resort, except INSIDE the room. In the pool, club, and during the parties. The shuttle driver has it $40 for 3.5 .The salesman on th Beach has it. $30 for 3.5..he had all flavors . No complaints. The bud in the condiment cups are better than the first bag I got in a package. TRASH. Bud still on the stem. Smoked like hemp. Went to dispensary . $45 for 3.5 ($10 extra to buy).they have cheaper but its conveniently sold out.. I got some bud from local outside of it for wayyyyyyyyy cheaper! Paid 3$ for 2 blunts worth. That's all he had on him. he told me they charge up at resort but I say what can you do? I brought my own blunts from home. The best way is to find a local that has some fiyah mon!
