In this video, we take you on a RIU Tequila full tour. What we liked about his RIU is the quiet pool Ibiza, and the "Chill out" beach area near the lobby. We're almost certain they have parties there at night, though we didn't see any during our time.

Sorry, we can’t weigh in too much since we haven’t stayed at either 🤔 what we will say is that Tequila seems to get better reviews than Yucatan.. if you’re a pool person, Tequila might be the one for you - plus you can visit Yucatan as well 👍🏻

If you’re looking for a quieter resort with nice pools, Yucatan is better - but overall, Tequila has a better overall guest rating🤷🏼‍♀️ they do have the RIU party scene at Tequila, so that can get quite noisy though. Yes, if you stay at one of the non- palace resorts, you can visit and eat/drink at the other non-palace resorts… but not for dinner - dinner has to be at your home resort 👍🏻

If you can budget for RIU palace riviera Maya, that’s the best one. Yucatan is good too, it’s right on the beach. A bit more updated would be RIU Playacar. Best parties at tequila. Depends what you’re looking for

Went there in 2018 loved it monkeys were awesome were right outside our balcony every morning booked to back in April 2023 but now heard they will be refurbishing so I got to wait for email to see whats happening. Yes, the Palace Riviera Maya is recently renovated, whereas RIU Palace Mexico is really showing its wear and tear - especially in the rooms.

Yes, it’s a short 5-10 minute walk! And yes, it’s allowed.

Not sure which trip you are referring to? Was it another RIU hotel? If so, we filmed all of the RIUs in the area on the same trip, so that’s why we put that description in for all of them 👍🏻

Hey random question here... When booking one of the Riu hotels, are you allowed to use the facilities of the other hotels? So book Tequila and then being allowed to use the pools/restaurants/spa of the other Riu's that are next to each other?

Yes. At Tequila, you can access Playacar and Yucatan pools, bars, and lunch. Dinner need be at the home resort. You aren’t able to access either Palace while staying at Tequila.

They are all on the same beach, so the water will be the same. We recommend joining the Facebook group for whichever hotel you like and you can ask people who are there to share pics of what the beach is like 👍🏻
