I've seen alot of comments saying that Classic Sonic fucked up and accidentally caused a Bad Future. But remember what Eggman said at the end of the game. "It could erase time and space! I then had the brilliant idea to use my discovery to undo my previous defeats!" This means that Eggman had been using the Time Eater to undo his past defeats, like his 2nd(Or 3rd. I'm not sure.) defeat back on Little Planet, thus recreating the bad future. Here's hoping this clears stuff up.
