There are no words to describe the talent of rival sons, Jay could sing anything and make it sound like a spiritual journey
@CountryBoyShane7 жыл бұрын
I've seen Rival Sons four times the past three years, and this is the stuff I wish more people would record. The chemistry during these improvisational tangents is magic. It's on the same level as Steve Marriott and Page & Plant. Truly incredible seen live.

CountryBoyShane Damn! Takes me back to the day! I’m 52 and I can’t get enough of RS like I couldn’t get enough of my generation’s rock legends! Love it! Share it with my kids who grew up on my music and are now the age I was when I was rocking to Zeppelin et al!

People should really consider how they word their statements. So the OP gave his opinion. Nothing wrong with that at all. However, when referring to any type of artists be it music, painting, poetry, novels, movies, dancers etc. Using the word 'best' is pointless. Other than record sales, now downloads or even subs, views or clicks; there are no fixed set of statistics that can place any artist in a ranked position on a list. Pro sports have many recorded statistics that are definitive and allow an accurate assessment of how individual athletes rank amongst their fellow competitors. So if Jeff Smith scores the most goals in the NHL for years on end you can say he's been the best goal scorer. Art is completely subjective. Every person interprets pieces of art differently. I think Rival Sons is an awesome band but I can't make a statement of.fact that they are the best band in the world right now. For one I would need to familiarize myself with every single band that exists on the planet and that is impossible. But it is quite possible that a band even more talented and creative does exist but maybe they can't get any recognition due to lacking connections, or perhaps they have no desire to "make it"in the music business and they make and play music strictly for the love and passion of jamming but keep it to themselves as a hobby. Basically there is no best band now or in history,. Nobody is the GOAT because all of time is still to come. Greatest and best are wrong words to use when discussing art. A proper way to express your feelings or support for artists would be something like.... "Rival Sons is one of my favorite bands right now. I like everything I've heard and they sound great live". Or maybe... "In my opinion Twenty-one Pilots is the best band out there today." " As oppose to "Cardi B is the greatest female rapper of all times." Or "The Disturbed cover of Simon and Garfunkel Sound Of Silence totally blows away the original. And Disturbs guitar player is the best that ever lived." And of course my entire comment is nothing other than my philosophy on the issue. Which is a fancy way of saying it's just my opinion. ☮️💟🎵

The Lovebirds 👍. And I f@ckn’ hate “man buns!” But, I love Rival Sons! 🤘😝🤘 😁
@zukipower99604 жыл бұрын
The words 'rock' and 'manbun' literally never belong in the same sentence unless it's throwing rocks at manbuns.
@zukipower99604 жыл бұрын
ph ong I prefer the term dislike. I reserve the word hate for real problems. Most will agree man buns are not good for masculinity.
@zukipower99604 жыл бұрын
@ph ong heehee! Sometimes some things just don't belong. I wonder if Dave Grohl ever thought it would be cool to put a banana clip in his hair. It could start a trend haha!
@zukipower99604 жыл бұрын
@ph ong With all due respect, Robert Plant could have a man bun made of ass hairs and it would be cool... well, because it's Robert Plant =D
