Everyone needs to get over who they sound like and listen to how great the music is :)

+Louise Young well said :-)
@farrex09 жыл бұрын
+Louise Young I know it really pisses me off that in every video they are always saying oh they sound like this band, cannot see that they are one of the last true rock and Roll bands and all they do is compare them to other bands.
@karinelson66068 жыл бұрын
You know, comparisons like that are a general complement to all artists involved, those who achieve a sound on par with someone legendary, and those who are being emulated by new artists. Stop looking for things to get pissed about. I mean, seriously?
@farrex08 жыл бұрын
Kari Nelson I know what you mean, and I used to think like that too, but after seeing that every single video there were several comments making the same comparisons it does get a bit tedious. Also if you listen to the lyrics of their song Soul they are also sick of being compared to other bands, they have been trying to their own thing for years of course with influences, but you know originality is a touchy subject for artists.
@grunge_piano8 жыл бұрын
while having a particular sound is a compliment "they rip off" and "this is a copy" is totally negative and discredits what is an AMAZING band :)
@Otis-Isom4 жыл бұрын
Their influences are clear but they sound like themselves. They are distinct

if u like this check out electric wizard, dopelord, witch, sleep, witchcraft, dopethrone, kyuss, nebula, and goat snake to name a few. there is a whole scene of stoner psyche rock. sludge doom, stoner metal. this band is the tip of the iceberg. if u like this check more out. some are heavier than others, but its a very cool scene.
@AstralElephantFuzz8 жыл бұрын
+Darth Doom These guys aren't really stoner, though. More bluesy rock.

This is my best interpretation of the lyrics: [Sick intro] [Galloping riff] Wait for the cold, long night Go out where nobody else can see And if you still wanna go Go out there by yourself Wait in the bushes for me I'm gonna tell you a secret I'm gonna tell you a secret And I know you're gonna keep it Go past the tulips and the stones ? Out where the water is dark and deep And if you don't get too cold And if you ? Wait in that deep water for me I'm gonna tell you a secret I'm gonna tell you a secret Let me tell you a secret And I know you're gonna keep it Let me tell you a secret And I know… [Solo] [Screams] Go past the graveyard All on your own And if you bring your sister that's fine? Bring me a jar full of shine? (Moonshine?) Wait in the bushes for me I'm gonna tell you a secret And I know you're gonna keep it I'm gonna tell you a secret And I know you're gonna keep it Let me tell you a secret And I know you're gonna keep it I'm gonna tell you a secret [Screams] [Screams more]

I had the opportunity to see Black Sabbath both times they were touring, and Rival Sons just kicked ass everytime! i was so amazed when at the first time I got to meet the singer real fast! I was star struck that I got to meet this dude with such a killer voice! all I could say was, "your voice is amazing man, thank you!" He was in a hurry so I kept it quick, but I will not forget that! He was so cool about it too! Great band live!

Sounds like Zeppelin. I LOVE IT!! Actually, no. It sounds like Led Zeppelin mixed with The Black Keys. Which are both really good, so I love it even more! Also, this is my first album from Rival Sons and I am loving it. Spotify recommended them to me because I listen to a lot of Zeppelin, Royal Blood and Highly Suspect. To me, they are all in the same vein of music, which is blues-rock. I love it because I just get those dirty, raw guitar riffs that I want, with the rough, grungy vocals and it just is amazing.
