Seriously the greatest band I have heard in a long time. This kind of music has true emotion behind it and it's easy to sing along to. The rock and roll feel is just a bonus. Musicians should take notes. This is real music!

The rock and roll feel is not a bonus. As Jay has often said, this IS just rock and roll. The way it was and is, without words like metal, hair, pop or whatever. The joining of blues and country with swing. Think Chuck Berry, Elvis, Fats, Jerry Lee... When the old comes back around, people think it is new. I had never heard of this band until I walked into a show at the HOB to see Evanescence and these guys were opening. I was blown away from the pure sound. If anyone has a chance. See them!

I saw this rockin band on October 19,2011 as the opening act for Evanescence...I had never heard of them before. So I didn't know what to expect but after the first couple notes and chords...all I can and could say was WHOA!!! Instant fan!! Nice to hear a a real band instead of the mainstream fluff!!! These guys are Amazing...Give these boys their due. Buy the physical cd. I promise you won't be disappointed!!

Rival Sons are the real deal-A truly authentic band that delivers some of the most bitching rocking tunes & drops on you heavy soul.There is a big difference between being influenced by our hero's then the bands that imitate them.And yes you can hear there influences but they carve out something truly genuine.The way Zeppelin was influenced by so many bluesman before them but when they layed it out-it only sounded like them because nothing is really new & I am speaking as a musician in saying that yeah you'll play & hear what inspire you but it's up to you to take it somewhere foreword & make it truly unique and that is what Rival Son's are all about...

Rival Sons is my favorite discovery of 2014. Sure, they've been around longer than that, but I hadn't heard of them until I heard Myles Kennedy give them a shout out this year. Now, I'm spreading the news.

The singer in Rival Sons is awesome,he has so much power,but Myles Kennedy is frikkin´ out of this world with his range,he´s one of those few singers who's multi-octave talent can literally give me goosebumps on my arms when I hear them hit an ultra high(for a male singer) note...people like Glenn Hughes,Chris Cornell,Steven Tyler,etc.. I think that the Rival Sons singers strenth is his immense power and very fast and mellow vibrato,qualities that are not worse than the others I mentioned,just different,and I like them all.

I totally agree with you when it comes to the range of Myles Kennedy and other singers, especially Chris Cornell. Cornell's range is incredible and has so much power to it

I love this band! I am in Rochester, NY and went to St. Catharine's back in May to see them. I was totally blown away and hooked. After the show. they hung with everyone for pictures and autographs. They were so nice and humbled by our excitement. I just came back from a weekend in Toronto and London, Ont. to see them again. Totally awesome!!!
