After Ipswich's promotion party at the town center park. Mckenna was spotted at 8am the next morning litter picking with council workers. The man is incredible. He has made the whole town get behind the team. He's brought us all together.

When I was a very young lad Ipswich were our rivals and media darlings. I remember the likes of John Wark, Eric Gates, Russell Osman, Terry Butcher, Arnold Murhen etc… what a team that was! UTV

@@allvillanofiller Villa broke my heart as a 12 year old Town fan in 1981, but for some reason, I always liked them. I greatly admired Gary Shaw and was so sorry to hear of his passing last week. Going into the 90s I loved your sides under Graham Taylor, Ron Atkinson, and briefly John Gregory. Tony Daley was always exciting. This latest side look like the real deal and it would be great for the game if they can upstage Liverpool and City. Emery seems to be a class act. My wish is for us to beat you on Sunday obviously, but then for Villa to go on a long winning streak after that. I might try and get to the return game at Villa Park. As Ben says it’s one of the great grounds. Was last there in 2001 when you beat us 2-1 in the Prem. Happy times, we finished 5th that season.

I believe Ipswich has a shot at survival. For me they have the biggest chance of the newly promoted. The forwards need to start scoring. That's the issue.

What a great guest and representative of his club. And he is absolutely spot on; Jack did drag us over the line on many an occasion with his socks rolled down :) From the game perspective I have nothing but absolute respect for any team's return to the Prem. I remember how hard it was for us AND how enormously difficult it was to stay. Literally every point counts as evidenced by our last game of the season against WH, of course a goal by Jack dragging us over the line one final time with a one point death-grip grab of the 17th spot. We should expect Ipswich to go all out, toe-to-toe for every ball. As you both said, anything can happen when you apply yourself and our slow starts and lack of clean sheets is a real concern. We need to snap out of it as it only emboldens teams to come at us right from the kick off. Really looking forward to the match, reliving old memories and reigniting our battle for points ~ UTV

I enjoyed that. I'm an Ipswich fan so I'm very familiar with Ben's channel. If Ipswich get a point against Villa on Sunday I'll very pleased. After two very enjoyable promotion seasons Ipswich fans are having to reset their expectations, hence hoping for a draw this week-end.

Great to hear you enjoyed the interview, Geoff! I’m sure there will be some growing pains for Ipswich back in the Premier League, but three draws in a row are quite solid results. Just need that win now (hopefully not against Villa, haha). Great to see Ipswich back in the Prem - always think of them as a top table side and nice to see them back up where they belong. Ipswich fan here, wouldn't be surprised at all if we lose this quite clearly, but maybe we can pull out a performance to get something like when we went away vs. Brighton. Got to feel that whether Villa are on their game or not matters more than how well we do however.

I think the gulf in quality of yesteryear between top and bottom of the league has somewhat dissipated to the point where anyone can win on their day so give full respect to Ipswich. They, like ourselves are part of the group not yet established teams that are plagued by PSR and more greatly effected by it, so with that in mind I hope they take a leaf out of our book and break the prem monopoly on teams, after our game obviously 😅 UTV

I'm not sure if the gap between top and bottom of the PL has dissipated to the extent you claim; there are a few teams who are a cut above the rest such as Man City. Don't be too hard on your club; Aston Villa are a leading PL club these days.
