Eldar used to be the most OP on the tabletop too, but the sun kind of set on them early on in 8th Edition when Dark Reaper spam was double nerfed (they got a points increase, and the "rule of three" was introduced). But we are not even halfway through 9th and Necrons and SM already need new rules, or someone needs to punch the rules writers for Sisters, Ad Mech, Drukhari, and Orks and fix all the broken in those. This game is not even fun anymore. Games are won in the list-building phase by picking the most unbalanced options. Failing that, they are won at the roll to go first. What a stupid system.

Yeees, so nice to see Craftworlds on the channel! Very enjoyable game to watch, and very close! But it has to be said, Mike pulled out all the stops to surround the board and get some key banners when Steve was out of position, only to get blasted off the board by turn 4. He was very fortunate to get those charges to keep map control and hold the banners for as long as he did. If Eldar are going to be the tricksy and evasive race, then their stratagems to do so need to be buffed. 2 CP for -1 to hit is painfully weak when -1 is the most you get anyway.

@@Become_The_Hero yep but at least tactical reserves gives some flexibility there and if you let the opponent into your deployment zone you can ambush with Wraithseer straight into combat from reserves..need to be close to your edge but it works!

Eldar need a major update, i have a theory that they killed the Ynnari plotline because GW realized if they kept with it they would have to release new Eldar stuff Additionally want to see how little GW thinks of Eldar? look at the brand new Kill Team website that has the old ranger models as the eldar image, not the nice new ranger models the old ones

You make me wanna play this game... until I see how much of it is just luck and how little of it is strategy. I mean, all too often a player gets obliterated but wins the match. Doesn't feel like a real battle.

You make an interesting point about how tabling your opponent doesn't guarantee your victory, and you say that it makes it unrealistic. I have to say that I think it is the opposite. As an example, let's say that the Attackers are Steve and the defenders are the Eldar. Imagine that there is a webway portal nearby, eldar defenders are organizing the evacuation of a few seers councils who have accomplished a mighty psychic ritual here. The Eldar manage to raise the banners on the communication equipment the SM need to relay that information to their own fleet. Even if the SM kill all the Eldar here at this battle, if the Eldar buy enough time, the Intel the SM have will be useless, and the Seers will be able to get off the planet and share their visions with the craft world.
