Air jumps are great for getting out of the way or gaining good speed quickly. The hover is slower and stiff, plus useless when overheating.

Elliana is such a cool character! I don't use her since resource management characters have never really clicked with me, but everything about her design, playstyle, backstory, animations, etc is possibly the most polished in Rivals. Love it!

God I love this character so much. Great air mobility, strong neutral game, insane combo potential, and a bunch of mechanics that encourage you to take your time to master her.

I love how in most cases, you’d be penalized with an overheat mechanic in fighting games but here, you’re instead opted to restrategize. The steam clouds are perfect for setting traps for controlling the battlefield while the fire bursts are great for pushing away enemies.

I love the idea of all characters having a passive. I wish Smash had more of it. So far there's Little Mac's Power Meter, Rosalina's Luma, Cloud's Limit Break, Robin's Limited Specials and Leven Sword, Bowser's Tough Guy and Shell, Bayonetta's Bat Within. I wonder if we'll see more of that kind of thing with more newcomers, or with any other veterans besides Bowser.

You are right! I also love stuff like that. There is also Yoshi's shield which you cannot poke at all or the shields of link and toonlink, imo they are some kind of passive aswell! Also luigis very low traction could also be seen as one!

There are actually a lot of passives in Smash bros. It's just that most of them are kind of underutilized with their overall gameplan making them kind of forgetable. But yeah, I totally get what you mean. Rival's characters have gimmicks that works to the character's gameplay which make them feel more fleshed out in comparison to Smash.

Couple tips: - Add some additional bind so you can use jump and attack/strong at the same time. It's a very powerful mix. - Hold down after up special to lower your jump height so you aren't vulnerable for as long

I'm not the best rivals player by any means but i'm learning as much as I can since I love the game. after playing a lot of the snek ina mech her play style and design are super fun and intresting and she fills the role of a heavy zoner quite well (bowser Jr./Pit), sadly I feel that in practice she just has too many weaknesses/bad MU's (even after buffs). Like a big hurt box, hitbox's that only cover her front resulting in enemies standing inside her while she attacks, a lot of startup on some attacks, slow speed, overheat mode that takes away big mobility options with telegraphed attacks easy to predict and DI, has strong projectile into melee approach but hardly gets any breathing room to set it up since she is very easy to rush down. I love this character to death and she is more than viable imo I will deff continue to play her and hopefully figure more out with her in time since she deff has a bit of a learning curve.

The best thing about RoA is that they spend so much time on all the characters that they're relatively balanced - beyond a few nerfs/buffs in the beginning - and thus they're all pretty much viable if you get good with your main

Austin Fletcher It's Maypul's Ragnir skin from Brawhalla.

That's Ragnir, a character from Brawlhalla. He is a skin for Maypul that costs $2 dollars. It was part of a collaboration between the devs of RoA and Brawlhalla, in which they also added a Ranno-skin for the latter. Both skins are purely cosmetic.

It's a snake in a flying machine. Snake+Bowser Jr. =Elliana. Has a guided missle and can plant bombs like Snake. Has an up special similar to Jr. as well as drill attacks.
