Cute how two of the endings are basically: "I don't know why you were such a moron but hey - works for me!"

Ending 1: Capture Gehn, Free Catherine, open the Star Fissure. Ending 2: Refuse Gehn 3 times when he asks you to use the book. Ending 3: Trap Gehn, and then use the Trap Book to release him anywhere on Riven or Age 233. Ending 4: Don't capture Gehn, but open the Star Fissure anyway. Despite the title, there are a few more endings this video missed. Ending 5: Use the Trap Book before linking to Riven. Ending 6: Capture Gehn, but dont free Catherine and then open the Star Fissure. Ending 7: Use the empty trap book on Riven. Ending 8: Use the empty trap book on Tay. Ending 9: Capture Gehn, but go to Tay and use the Trap Book there. Ending 10: Open the Star Fissure before getting the Trap Book back (only possible via getting the code from Catherine's journal, and then loading a prior save, as the code is randomized each new save)

#5 Doesn't make sense to me. Where are you using the empty trap book before linking to Riven? All the islands make up Riven and the only place that isn't Riven is Tay.

@@JDistheone Unlike the original game, you can actually move around D'ni before linking to Riven. And you can use the trap book immediately after Atrus gives it to you.

Interesting. In the original Riven, where you capture Gehn but don’t free Catherine, Atrus doesn’t go looking for her but instead links back to Myst, knowing that the Age is in mere moments of collapsing completely.
