Oh robert , brings back wonderful memories. Emmigrated from Lockerbie Scotland back in 85, we had fishing rights through the comrades club in Lockerbie, had some great dry fly fishing up on that stretch especially between the railway bridge and the motorway, bit further south than where you were fishing. Great video, was fishing along with you, Im knackered!!

Brilliant video sir. Really brilliant. Even though ye hade a stinker it was great watching. What a hatch of grannom that was. Awesome to watch. You have the same curse as myself at times. Another great video Robert pal 😉👍🏼 I’m sure i message you in one of your previous but I just got into fly fishing this season & I’ve only been out 6/7 times & yet to catch I’ve had a couple of takes but I panicked & lost them 🤷🏼‍♂️😂 anyways I’m hoping you can give me a wee bit advice I’m struggling to get a fly tied without getting kinks in the leader I’m not sure what’s happening I do the same knot I’ve used for tying hooks on for 40 year 🤷🏼‍♂️ over 5/6/7 times wet the line then pull through again I’ve tied it thousands of times but when I’m tying a fly on it’s a struggle & im no using cheap leader btw so I’m loosing too much for what I’m doing any advice would be more than welcome 🙏🏼 Take it easy n tight lines ✌🏼💙🎣🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍🏼

Hi Craig, so sorry for the late repo as here this comment got buried under some others. What sort of knot are you using to tie your flies on? I just use a blood knot for my trout fishing and give it plenty of saliva before tightening up slowly.

Just subscribed m8, great stretch of river i fish there ofter wait till ur not expecting it and u hook into one of the salmon then u will know all about it i love using a brown perdigon with red tinge at the bottom end there deadly on that river looking forward to following u on your fishing journey Tight lines
