Very good inspiration & useful from this video! I am planning to build a low tech, 120 cm long (4 feet) tank, with no CO2 and no fertilizers too! I am only worried about algae issue, especially black beard algae! Is your tank a 120 cm long tank? And, what is your secret of keeping the tank algae free? Also, why you do not keep shrimp in this tank?
@NanDeSuKa844 жыл бұрын
Just googled, it’s a approx. 76 cm long tank....thought it look bigger than that and it’s a big tank! Nice aquascape layout there which makes the tank appears to be bigger than it actually is. Did you encounter any algae problem?

Love this tank! The tweaks you made from the original really makes this look amazing. I saw you moved to a canister filter - did you have any issues with the Aquaclear in this scape or did you just do an upgrade for general benefits of a canister?
@dennisbinkhorst20394 жыл бұрын
Are you sure that actually is "Hygrophila Polysperma" and not Ludwigia (Repens)? Nice tank by the way.

I wonder what is the secret for plants that grow without co2 and fertilizers ??? Also I can not understand why no one has brown algae ??? at the aquarium startup.
@sv1aaw4 жыл бұрын
@@rondavis2791 After the change of substrate due to the plants with normal fertilize and with sera tablets co2 I saw after many years brown algae with 2 biological canister filter eheim 2217. The tank is 50 gal and not 20 gal. The routine maintenance is every week and less !!!!

Whats the difference between eleocharis parvula and eleocharis acicularis? I cant decide to buy which one because both looked the same to me.

Fantastic setup, but my question is, why guppies? They do not complement the scape at all. I feel like a species of Rainbow fish, barbs, or even danios would look quite nice in this scape.
