Labrador has insane trout fishing weather it’s Lakers or brookies. My dad is from lab city and one of our cabins still stands there. The biggest fish of the trip was caught by my grandpa with his bare hands. He just picked it up out of the river. The old timers are no joke when it comes to this stuff.

Nothing better than your first big native brookie on the fly up in the north east. Beautiful fish

Make your own camping trip to Maine or Canada and it wont be bad at all. You dont need a guide, just stop at all the local fly shops you come across. Talk to the guys there and buy a few flys they recommend. They will happily give you all the information you need to get on some fish

cavslbj hit up the Rapid River in Maine. Big fish in there, 5lbs is the biggest I’ve heard. Salmon and trout. There is a guide service and lodge close to there I think.

In the future we hope to have those! We shot some brook trout shows this season in Maine!

Great video. Pretty disappointed to see all the guys using gloves to tail the fish. Can seriously harm the protective slime and cause disease and in turn the fish will die 100%.

Actually that is not true there due to the cold water temperatures. Biologists with Ministry of Natural Resources told us that the water is too cold all season and they don't have the issues of bacteria infections like they do in southern rivers/lakes. However, agreed that not using gloves whenever possible is the best idea. This is an older show from six or so years ago. Thanks for feedback
