Its been like 7 years since Ive come out and only within the past maybe like 2 or so years have I been able to listen to others on large platforms talk about experiences I can relate to. Like that werewolf joke fvcking GOT me 🤣 soo true. I know no matter what we do or say, how much data is collected, etc etc, transphobes will never change their minds. If you dont get it, then the content just isnt for you. & thats ok. You have the worlds collective knowledge and entertainment on the tips of your fingers. It made me feel really good to hear that joke, I'm at around the same point in my transition as a trans guy (a little over a year on t) and some of the stuff that comes with that is amazing, but some of it makes me a bit insecure. And getting to hear a joke about it and laugh it off makes me feel a lot better.

Comedians are afraid to joke about it. Alot of people in the public eye are afraid to even talk about it other than to follow a pre prescribed narrative in fear of getting cancelled or fired. But it could be said this could have an adverse net consequence as to allow anything to be subject to ridicule and satire is to normalise it and not put a subject on its own special shelf that people are wary to go near. But I agree it's good to see comedy about the trans experience. The "She goes by they them!" Got me haha.

@@autopilot3176 Some people like the singular gender neutral pronoun to be used for them, and River is one of those folks, so that's what I used. "Them" has been used as a singular pronoun in the English language for hundreds of years. I understand some other languages don't have a singular gender neutral pronoun, but English does, and it's "them" and "they." Like let's say my cousin is coming to a party we're having but you don't know my cousin, so you ask, "what time are they coming over?" Sure if multiple cousins were coming, you could say the same thing, but it works for just one cousin, too. Another example: You're taking something to the lost and found counter, and you tell the attendant "someone lost their wallet" because you don't know their gender / it's irrelevant Another example: River is a skilled comedian, and they never fail to make me laugh.
