2024 and this group is still going strong. Shame I can only find them on FB, though as I don’t participate.

In my head, I have a map of fruit trees (apples and pears) in Warsaw, Poland. Some trees are born from seed, unique, not clone ;) ;) These fruits save my life during my hard times ;)

I wish someone would invent an apple the grows in the tropics. I miss fresh apples, peaches etc. Oh well, spose I'll have another mango.

I'd like make some apple juice but i don't know, isn't it perishable? Should I take some preservative?Unfortunately I haven't found any recipe on the River Cottage website:(.

Apples contain Paulin on the skins which needs to be washed off, with water, some add Camden tablets (1 per gallon of water) and rinse in fresh water afterwards. Also apples contain natural wild yeast which will ferment in the juice and blow up your bottles. Best option is too pasteurise the juice before bottling. (see online how to do) Simplest wat is to 3/4 fill clean plastic milk cartons or Coke bottles and freeze.

Shouldn’t the parents be out foraging looking after their children’s needs?
