Thanks for sharing this - I have just joined the Earl of Harrigton A.C. and had a walk around this stretch and Borrowash last month - not had chance to fish there yet - Regarding crayfish the Derwent is stuffed with them - I help to manage a game fishery on the upper Derwent and for the past 7 years we have been trapping and removing about 200 a day for the three month season totalling roughly 18,000 a year - there seems no solution to this and it is probably a pointless exercise unless every club trapped (some near us have decided it is not worth bothering - I think they may have a point) - anyway a nice video - Cheers - Steve.

What a great looking stretch of water Ade, some fish to boot plus the dreaded Cray fish, are they a problem on the Derwent ? When i lived down South 7 years or so ago they were just becoming a problem on parts of the Thames, Cam and the Darenth, do you get them on the Mersey ? Ian in the Borders

Not on the Mersey that i know of Ian, few mitten crabs appearing, not sure if they’re a problem on the Derwent. 1st one I’ve ever caught
