RIVER DERWENT, BORROWASH, DERBY, DERBYSHIRE

IMHO this has to be one of the best rivers in the country,I have fished it on and off since I can remember,it produces good weights towards the back end of the year, The club does offer good all year round fishing as it has 5 lakes as well as the river,. Day ticket rules as follows& correct up to 30/8/18, ,Day Tickets can be purchased from any of our tackle dealers and also online (please state day of fishing). Day Tickets are NOT available on the bank and if you cannot show your ticket to the bailiff or produce a PayPal receipt on your phone then you will be asked to end your session. You may fish the river stretches (excluding Chub Alley at Borrowash and Warrington AA waters at Derwent Valley Fishery). You may also fish Allestree Lake, Markeaton Lake, Mill Dam, Alvaston Lake and Heatherton Pond. Fishing is strictly sunrise - 10pm on the river and sunrise - sunset on the stills. No overnight camping on the bank is allowed on any of the river stretches or still waters. Please read your Day Ticket. PLEASE NOTE THAT DAY ANGLERS DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO OUR SECURE PARKING AT BORROWASH - THIS IS FOR SEASON TICKET HOLDERS ONLY. TO ACCESS BORROWASH STRETCH, THE NEAREST PARKING IS ON STATION ROAD, BORROWASH AND THEN WALK TO THE RIVER (AS SOON AS YOU GO OVER THE RIVER BRIDGE, THERE IS A STILE ON THE RIGHT)

grown up on that farm let me tell you some monster pike down chubb alley at the back of celanise and the carp into 30s u have to have permission also Earl of Harrington ticket

half a mile further upstream and into derby center is virtually unfishable due to a plethera of rubbish in the water. and access to the river bank is just about impossible due to overgrown undergrowth and rubbish. As a disabled angler who doesnt have transport the river is my only venue for a days pleasure fishing. I must say that if the earl of harrington doesnt do something to improve the situation i will not be buying another season ticket from them and considering the price they charge its a disgrace,

Its the same any inner city river mate. I'm from notts if you hit the trent within a few miles of the city youl get snags a fair bit, just yesterday saw a phone, car tires a crate and got greeted by floating bin bags of rubbish heading downstream and it's the same in any swim. Avoid inner city stretches if you don't want it people simply can't clean up after themselves. Can't really blame the club it's people who can't handle their booze throwing shopping trolleys over bridges not the club

I believe you can buy day tickets, but not at the riverside. They should be available from local tackleshops, along with the season pass etc.
