Overnighter on the August Bank Holiday Monday evening, 2019.
Using the trusty DD Superlight Small tarp, and Snugpak Bivvy/Sleep System. Morning coffee courtesy of the Alpkit Brukit gas stove.
A beautiful part of the world I know quite well.

Looks idyllic. Nice sunset. The last & only time I went to Exmouth was in 1984 as part of my railway shunters course. Now I'm retired I suppose it's about time I went back!

Thanks Gaz. I enjoy the sound, but not too keen when I end up in a puddle mate. All part of the fun eh?

A beautiful tranquil space to camp Rich. Lots of space to look out upon. You got their safe. I mean them trains can be like ghosts - upon you before you know it. All the best. Mark

Haha childish bit of editing I know Mark, but I amuse myself. Hard to believe this was only a few weeks back though... camping in shorts and a t shirt, it can't be real! Thanks for the watch Sir. Rich

Lovely to see again :) this was my favourite place to camp when I was a kid, also just down the track abit to your left, there is a wooded cliff area were we used to build dens and sleep over the night :) Blast from the past,, Thsnk you

Glad it brought back some fond memories D.C. I know exactly the woods you mean! I was originally going to camp by the slipway to the left of the 2nd gate as I cross the railway, but there were some kids knocking about on the spot so I moved on to the meadow - and glad I did, was very nice. Thanks for watching! Rich

@@CottonBud really glad I have subscribed :) I'm all grown up with two kids now, so this was many many years ago. not many people adventured down along that way back then, not since the walk way has been built. We used to go flounder fishing, so that little spot was perfect to set up camp for the night. This has inspired me to get my kit together and take the little ones out :)

Loved this one, great set up you had there, views were stunning, you can't beat a view over water. Lee

Cheers Lee. The setup looked good but had a major flaw : the DD Magic Carpet ground sheet is just a bit wider than it needs to be, and so sticks out from under their small tarp, collecting all the rain that runs off, directing it efficiently to your arse. I left that bit out...
