Another great day on the water. I use to always fish a specific river just up from the mouth of the Mississippi when the whites were running and it was always non-stop action even fishing from the banks. We usually got whites and skips in the same trips.

Spencer …. Enjoyed watching it. It’s Friday night at 9:20pm, Finally had a great day catfishing. I used shrimp one one pole and chicken breast on another. Both worked great …. Unfortunately, not channels but at least I caught catfish. Browns and yellows …. From 2 pounds 😅 to my biggest… 6 pounds. Unfortunately Connecticut fresh waters do not flatheads or blues. Still a great day. Plus yesterday I caught a nice 4 pound 15 inch small mouth. That was a fight and jumped many times …. The bite is on!

I found that while anchored in the river,I can turn my motor one way or the other and swing the rear or the boat in or out (like a rudder) was wondering about the drift sock ? Is that to help with the swaying in the wind ?

A drift sock passively keeps the boat pointed one direction so you don’t tangle lines when bait dunking and reeling big fish in. Was that your question?
