This is near where I lived for first 9 yrs of my life. I grew up in Bemersyde near St Boswells … Sir Walter Scott country…I always describe having the most peaceful and lovely childhood. I have visited many times and it always takes my breath away. We were walking distance to the River Tweed and seeing you walking on the stones of my memories filled me with joy. It truly is a little bit of heaven on earth. ❤️

A few weeks ago I stayed just outside Bewick-on-tweed, I walked the beach early each morning to search for fossils/anything. I found many, over 80, good quality carnelians shell fossils but my best find was a potoskey stone, made my year! In suffolk I find carnelians but very few, I do though find lots of shark teeth, my record is 102 in 3 hours! Love your KZbin’s and understand the absolute thrill at finding things.

The trees in the intro of this video took my breath away. The music was beautiful! I had my headphones in, and its about 10:30 at night in Tx right now, and my husband just tapped me on the shoulder because apparently I whispered “WOW!” So i had to show him. His response? “Wow”

Great adventure. I even enjoyed seeing the millions of smooth river rocks. They reminded me of an artist in Nova Scotia who used rocks like that from the Bay of Fundy to paint on. He'd paint birds on them using acrylic paints. Most were a size that could be used as paperweights and he'd paint little finches, chickadees, humming birds and the like on them. He was very successful selling them at craft shops etc.. Because they weren't too big or too expensive, they were perfect souvenirs for tourists to remember their trip to Nova Scotia. I once saw him interviewed and he was asked how many he had made. His answer was something like "enough to be able to pay for all his kids to be university educated". 🐦

I had to buy myself a rock hound book for rocks found in Washington State after I moved here last year. What a wonderful lark ladies. The trees along the path to the river were so large and so magnificent. I'd be tempted to give them a hug too. The fields of corn blowing in the wind, looked so pretty too. I loved the softly rounded edges of the pieces of pottery you found. It always amazes me, when a perfect scene is enclosed within the pieces. Great for making jewelery. Gosh and how much river rolled glass did you find. It looked like frozen water all washed clean and sat on the table. That long piece of brass plate was a great find. I'm sure you'll put that to very good use. Maybe the brass ring could be made into some kind a frame. Its deep enough to add some interesting little bits and bobs you've found...maybe. Lastly...who indeed can resist a Hag stone. The ones you found were so perfect. Especially the first one, with the circular hole. Thanks for another joyful lark. Xx

When I walk the dogs on the beach I always take one nice shell for each walk. I choose it carefully. One of our little dogs used to pick it, I do it in memory of her. If you picked one stone each time, you could border your Rose Garden with a border of pretty pebbles, hag stones and river glass. Just a thought. I mix our shells in amongst the river stones with the succulents. 😊😊😊🌵🌵🌵
