Spending the 4th of July in New Boston or Huron Township Michigan on the Huron River flying a quad line sport kite and throwing Discraft Ultra Star. Enjoy those Orange Blossoms 🌸

Would've been really tough with any other kite. The UL killed it all day in 0-5 variable direction

It was indeed. Could've used some form of constant wind but it turned out great. The day was magnificent ❤️

Super cool, great moves, VERY NICE. Wow. That's a few moves I haven't seen before! laying it out flat, leading edge forward, very cool. Something new to try! And, for the catch, it looked like you just hit the upper strings, cort of like a karate chop, to bring the kite to you. Am I correct on this?

Thanks Robert! The flat, LE forward we call a pancake. Pretty simple concept but requires a sensitive touch and a light pop on the brake lines as the hands come forward to give a touch of slack. Slowly grab some tension back on the top lines before the kite rotates beyond flat. The catch is very simple. Yes, grab the top lines with a firm grip so your hands don't slide down the lines and cut them... then the kite with a perfectly straight LE pop the top lines down toward the ground. Not straight back towards yourself. A short but medium powered strike down on the top lines will send the kite hurling straight at you. Super fun maneuvers to learn and just another card in deck. Report back after some time playing with them ❤️

Shouldn't Brett, a UL kite, be fully enclosed, rather than having the mesh underneath the tip dacron?

Not necessarily. However, if you want it to fly well in reverse, you want the mesh 😉
