Awesome video Mark. Great to hear you have got your hands on a Water-to-Go filter bottle. Thanks for giving us a mention. We look forward to hearing how you get on with it 😀

Thank you and your very welcome. I tried it in the morning from the stream and it was great, infact i drank from the bottle and really was good. I will review it in my next video.

Great video! I lost the sight in one eye at the start of Covid, three operatiins since, endless treatment and my nental heslth has seriously declined. I've invested heavily in gear (starting from scratch) snd see wild camping as part of my recovery snd rediscovering some joy in life. Was concerned it may be too much as I struggle with some basic daily tasks but welcome pushing myself out of my comfort zone. This video was just the tonic.

I can totally appreciate the mental health side of things, been going through it for years, just dipping my toe into camping and enjoying it so far. Thanks for sharing. Great it's working out for you, Leigh.

I came across your vid because we just bought the tent youre using, so i searched for it. The absolute bonus was that everything you chatted about completely resonated with me. Me and my partner have got seriously into big hiking for the past year and half, but wildcamping has become more and more appealing to us as we come across people on our walks. We're into our 50's too and its never too late to discover an absolute love in life. Good on you mate. We just bought the same tent today and we're about to embark on exactly what youre doing in this video. All the best mate... Mats. 👍

Lovely spot you found there. We have the OEX Fathom 200 and 200 sleeping bags for me and my sons - nice bags, generously proportioned for the, ahem, circumferentially challenged! The 200 is warm enough for high summer and the 300 can easily go from spring to autumn. If the frost starts appearing then it's time to crack out the down quilt.

We live in Lancashire too, we also promote mental health awareness on our hiking channel. I know the river Ribble very very well, I used to live near clitheroe and take my girls to Edisford bridge regularly. We’ve hiked Pendle Hill several times. We have posted several local Lancashire walks on our channel. I’ve subbed to your channel buddy.

Another fantastic video. Views beautiful, there is no beating the wonder of mother nature for sure. No worries about age to get outdoors in nature, its always better later than never. I agree in keeping the area secret, best way to go. There are millions of people who are suffering from this fast paced stress ridden modern life. I believe that spending time in nature is absolutely essential for our mental wellbeing. Enjoy! I have the euro delux 2 man tent, I find it to be good and simple to put up with only two poles. I like the tent you are using, especially the 5,000 hydro which is amazing. Mine is only 2,000 hydro, but it holds up in a down pour. However, I think the 5,000 is awesome and may invest in a better hydro tent at some point in time. Sometimes I go car camping instead of using a tent which is great too.

Thanks again Michelle. I always try to find a minimum of 3000mm hydrostatic head as where I live in Lancashire is very wet lol. Never try car camping but I might consider it in the future 👍

morning mate do you prefer the jackal or the cloud peak?
@JackalOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Hi Buddy, Both tents are excellent. The Jackal is both warm and strong and the Cloud Peak is strong and roomy. Both are also great for condensation. Jackal is a bit cheaper.
