Spenser I live within 300 miles of you, and have catfished regularly since the 80's. My birthday is July 20th, so year over year it's easy for me to remember how the fishing was around that time in previous years. I refer to the 4th of July to my birthday as "the dog days" of catfishing. It's usually a tough go at it.

Good to see that your guide trips are still being booked. Was starting to wonder what with all the solo trips on the smaller water here lately. Yet you never really speak about the business side of your adventures, and I can understand that to a certain degree. Yet maybe if your customers don't have a problem with the cameras. It might boost that end of things for you, because advertising is however you can get it without invading someone's privacy, and if they don't have any issues with it . Then by all means, it's gotta boost bookings to a degree I'd think. It's your choice how you work that, and it's probably something that you've worked out in your own mind how you think is best. Just a thought on my part, and based on the fish I've seen you catch over the years on your own, are with your friends. I'd say you probably have excellent catch ratio with your customers too. Luck only goes so far fishing, and having a good knowledge of the waters your on regularly puts odds in your favor. I'd say you do better than the ones that just key on lot's of smaller fish counting on numbers to keep them busy. So hope you catch bunch of big fish, and put your customers on just as many.

Try casting and letting some cat bait and live bait chill on the bottoms in them big rivers again. I’m sure if you find the fish on fish finder letting it sit and smell in a location better then making them chase it downstream with a big sinker knocking around as well . Some people love their bumping but god old chill on spots you know they will stage or see them on graph throw the baits and let um come to it.

Started with my least favorite up to my most favorite. At my least favorite spot, I was there about an hour. I went to go get my truck to pack up a Karen on a paddleboard ran into my fishing string. Then she began to complain to me about safety, and I had to tell her that I was a retired Connecticut state environmental conservation police office. I said I’m retired and I don’t wanna deal with the śhit anymore. I told her if I still wanted to work with people who complain all the time I would not have retired. I then gave her the state statute for not having her dog on a leash, smiled, and left! 😂😂😂😂😂. Her husband didn’t say a thing.
