I think they're definitely good reels. They continue to function well after 20 trips or so. I'm planning on putting them to work on some stripers in a month or so. That will be a real test haha

Good luck man. Cast straight out into the current, let your bait sink to the bottom, and reel only fast enough to keep the bait off the bottom and your line tight. Let the current swing the bait. At least when the water is under 50. Hope that helps!
