Spencer …. First and foremost, THANK YOU for the videos…… I am a disabled police officer up in Connecticut. I love all sorts of fishing. I bought some circle hooks and went fishing in the Housatonic River. I finally nailed about 8 cats the last two days… those circle hooks work great. Again, thank you for the vids. Makes my life much better.

im also in ct would recommend the glastonbury area of the ct river if youre going for cats theres some deep areas with some decent cats around also some bowfin and big carp so just a thought

8:25...I just turned 40 last week and my mom bought me an old fisherman's hat just like his and he looks alot like my dad who's about to turn 73 this year. I wore it the whole week while I took my wife and our two sons to Florida to visit with family and I can't wear it here in Pittsburgh because it's just not that warm or fashionable. I love my mom, so I wore it for her, but I can't get away with it up here until summer.

@RiverCertified I really enjoy your videos and am jealous of the awesome waters you have to fish there. I’d like to request that you add some commentary about why you choose to setup on certain spots. It’s easy to see why you setup on the log piles, but some of the other spots are more subtle and it would be really helpful if you can explain what you are seeing or keying on.

That was a fast 25 minutes Spenser. Time flies when the fishing I good for sure. Wherever you were it wasn't the swallow streams of Iowa which are drying up again sadly. Maybe the rains will help again some but we need much more. Looks like I'll be fishing the lakes again this year. Great video, can't wait to see the next part.

Hog track looks just like a deer track, except at the rear sides of the track will be an additional indentation. That river reminds me of the Trinity river in Texas. Caught some hogs there with the dogs years back.

Good job spencer,i know exactly where you are fishing and yes,there are a bunch of yellow cats in there.The chances of catching a huge gar are good(100lbs plus)If i want to have the best chance at BIG fish,i go there.Gators get big though(5 to 9 feet)Awesome catches.

I've been looking for a new Pole but you know I'm on a budget just like the next guy didn't know maybe if you had to go to set up had a friend give me a old pole and I open face I ordered some new line I'm going to go 100 lb hig viz line. Got some 4/0 hooks. Hooked up on a big hog last year at Mammoth caves campground I got 65 lb Berkeley big game line on it but it broke it as I had it on the bank. Had a short video no good picture hooked up on something big at the locks same thing broke the line so I'm going to upgrade that pole I've got an ugly stick with some braid spiderwire I think it's still good for another season and then I've got my little micro fishing pole it's a pitch stick. I'm looking for some 3 lb or 2 lb string for it about burn it up over the last couple years but I'm looking to get a nice stick with a nice real just looking for somebody that really backs something I'm going to try to get on some gar this year. But I'm looking for that good hog that shovel love watching the videos buddy I don't want to bother you but you put up some big fish.
