Oh this bring back some memories when I watched this several years ago, amid on a larger stage, and this is my favourite number (they had 3 dances on both sides at that time, if i recall correctly). It's amazing how they can do an equally impressive performance in a more intimate setting. Thanks for posting!

They reimaged this dance number with two female musicians and two guys and a female dancer..it's awesome.

Because tap was influenced from Irish dance as well.

@@Sean-jc6cu good point and the exchange was two ways. The movements in tap is rooted in African Shuffle dancing. The movement in Irish dance is rooted in clogging. Enslaved people borrowed from Irish dance true, and Irish tappers borrowed from more African forms of dance. American tap is a fusion of forms. I still think is is amazing that they produce the same sounds given the different nature of how they use their feet to produce the sounds. Side note, I think it was not until the 80s that Irish dancers started using taps on their shoes, something American tap dancer originated. Kid of cool how the one influences the other and vise versa.
