Rivernook Campground | Kern River Camping | Trail of 100 Giants

Hey Everyone! Thanks for checking out my video.
This was a fun trip with my family. We stayed at the Rivernook Campground in Kernville, CA. (They require a 4 night minimum stay) We booked site #48 which is a partial hook up site, please be aware that all partial hook up sites do require an RV. We also reserved site 188 which is a tent only site and site 208 which is a full hook up (right in front of the entrance, bathroom/showers and the market). We then hiked the Trail of 100 Giants which was about an hour drive pass the camp site. It was beautiful and worth it. Hope you enjoyed the video, till the next camping trip! :)

how did you like site 48??? coincidentally we are booked for 48 and 50.

It’s a good location, close walk to the showers, market and the office, creek view, has some shade however it is a small site, so if you have two cars it’ll be a tight squeeze just as you see it in the video. We didn’t have an RV but we managed to squeeze 2 tents, a truck and an SUV. The table is moveable so just move it for more space. It’s about 2 to 3 minute walk to river.

How was the river is it swim able?

Good question! The water was very cold but perfect for the hot weather in kern to dip in and cool off but not swim in. The current was very strong and I HIGHLY suggested that you do not swim in it. As the locals told my husband and I “the river is unforgiving and do not let your kids swim in it, they will drown”
