The Silent Life Music: Uttley Lyrics: Biggs The sun leaves on its own A simple passage of the days that I have wasted I feel the summer slipping through These aging fingers Compelled to walk upon the same path that I have tread so long Still nothing changes A simple passage to a place that I have come to know I still remember A better time When the thoughts that we had connected Between our open eyes We say goodbye, to a life that’s been mostly silent, Erroneously lead. Strive to complete myself It seems my work is never truly done. I see your face, barely through the haze You see a life, erroneously lead. There’s hope in younger days There’s warmth within the past that’s so familiar I forget just why I came here I Hope that you remember Home. All this time I’ve wasted In my self-righteous anger Oh the years I’ve lost To this profound indifference I find my direction A solemn duty owned Mine, it is mine alone To watch this world expire Like machines, we embrace Cold limbs connect A silent, errored life Slipping into oblivion Lead astray through endless days Silent now, the words so loud My mind is drifting out Between perception of a dream and what is real Now all I have is lost with you I hope that you remember A better time When the lights were all so candescent That reached me from the sky We say goodbye, to a life within dead horizons Erroneously lead. Strive to escape myself It seems my work is never truly done I see your shape, falter in the wake Of a life erroneously lead

I'll admit I hadn't heard of this band until this song was on Sirius Liquid Metal. I was hooked on the first listen. The sax....I never dreamed it could work so well in a metal song. Kudos to the band...this is awesome work.

Rain Eater They've disappointed me twice.. Of course I'll give em another chance cause I love tech death, but to me they've never done anything above serviceable..
@Airless_Grind6 жыл бұрын
genuinely curious as to what you didnt like/what dissapointed you. just not a fan of the first two albums?
@zachward64976 жыл бұрын
Rain Eater I think it's their lack of creative riffs. I find most of their songs consist of djenty style chugging riffs that get incrediblely dull after one song. It can't keep my attention so I stop listening. Of course this is all just opinion.

Zach Ward got any good recs that hold your interest more?
@zachward64976 жыл бұрын
Nekroman45954 For tech death? My favorites are First Fragment, Archspire, Spawn of Possession, Augury, Inferi, Gorguts, Gorod, Replacire, A Loathing Requiem, Beyond Creation, Revocation and some others. Outside tech death I listen to a lot of Doom, so Idk if you'd actually want me to list those bands.

What makes this less brutal is the production It focuses more on the guitars than the drums So I'm happy
@nisinduperera71305 жыл бұрын
I guess as a guitarist that's my taste
@Someguyy8674 жыл бұрын
Nisindu Perera I enjoy when it focuses on everything. But honestly a good drummer can carry a song and make it sound 10x better. But guitars making the atmosphere while drums are their for the heavyness imo. But as a lover of vocals I obviously appreciate vocals more then above lol.
